Fearless child was drawn to the bangs and the loud noises inside. She stared at the fellahin that cowered. What was this? Why were they acting as if someone had beaten them. If someone had why not just hit them back? Safiya was not yet privy to the hierarchy or where she stood.
She blinked and moved past them when they were distracted, whispering sadly and slightly panicked amongst each other.
