All Welcome
Set for Friday <3

tagging @Zephyr but it's all welcome
Gonna edit to include my spread in here bc why not
                       Daughter of Pentacles
The Magician       Nine of Pentacles         Son of Pentacles

It had been nearly a week now.  She'd traversed the canyon but had no luck in finding a way up that did not involve climbing, something that she was not able to handle with her ribs in the condition they were in.  It was ok enough to be walking, but she knew if she fell again, there was a high chance she could do some serious damage.  Potentially even kill herself in the process.

She wavered between guilt and euphoria daily.  Occasionally the bone-deep grief and loneliness would set in and she'd yearn for anyone to show up.  She'd hope to hear a howl that she could answer, or catch any sign that they were looking and might have found her.  It was a stupid hope; she'd hidden her tracks and told no one.  She'd abandoned them on purpose this time and they had every right to abandon her back.  She deserved it.

Just because I said I wanted space didn't mean I meant it.

If he didn't hate her before, he'd definitely hate her now.  She certainly despised herself.

But this mix of guilt and self-loathing warred with the excitement she felt having finally embraced the future she'd been dreaming of.  Anyone she met here would be strangers.  She had no pack she depended on, no one here who knew anything about her past or her insecurities, not even her name.  She could remake herself in whatever image she chose, and no matter how mysterious, they'd take it.  It would be their only view of her.  That was powerful.

If she just kept moving, kept going, then she could move past all of this.  She knew she could only live with this guilt gnawing on her for so long, but if she could go to the point where it no longer mattered, maybe she'd be okay.  That's why today she stood in the south-western part of the territory and lifted her muzzle.  The call that sounded forth was not particularly powerful, but she let it hang in the air for a moment as an invitation.

Looking to shift your fortune, or to alter the fortunes of others?
Looking for help, for good or for ill?
Come see the Wraith within the canyon.

Fennec winced as she draw a quick breath and a shallow spike of pain flared.  She'd need to find a better way to get the word out with more reach.  It would likely be a week or more before she could properly howl.

The call comes out of nowhere, abrupt and oddly intriguing to the ice wraith. He draws to a halt as the call finishes, hovering silently in place for a moment before he determines the direction of it and sets off. His determination shortens the journey, and he finds a girl — a big-eared sandy girl, with the strangest eyes he's ever seen. His hackles bristle slightly at the sight of her, wild ice shards along his back, but she's small and frail, hardly a threat to the battle-hardened snowsprite. You called, He says, flat, voice breaking the dead silence of his approach. He says nothing else. He simply stares, and waits, tail high and stiff behind him.

She hadn't expected anyone to answer so soon, but she'd certainly hoped for it.  She was limited in mobility, her options pinioned for the moment, stuck in this crevass in the earth.  The earth's butt crack she thought with a touch of melancholy as she remembered Towhee's laughter during their last conversation at the Caldera.

Someone was coming.  And that meant she had to be ready.  If you help me with this, we might all get paid, she'd told the birds when she first howled.  She didn't hear them in the trees behind her and she highly doubted they understood, but hell, it was worth a shot.

She waited until he got close and spoke.  And you answered.  So, serious one, what does the Wraith have that you wish?

Her voice had a silken quality to it that Fennec had played with these past few days, toying with it until it felt right.  Her character was unfamiliar and unflappable, mysterious and ethereal.  And she would play it up to her heart's content.

Something about her strikes him as off in a way he's never encountered before. Different. If he had more experience with people, he might have pinpointed her facade — but he doesn't, so he just figures she's weird. Not ideal, but not a crime. I don't even know what you're offering, He points out mildly, intrigued enough to ignore how stupid the question is. After all, they've already gotten this far. Leaving now would guarantee his time being wasted.

She cackled lightly, ignoring the way it ignited the flare along her side.  She should probably avoid doing that too much while she was healing up.  You didn't hear the call, then?  She asked.  It was strange that so many came, yet none of them with a reason.  She was dealing in circumstance.

Herbs for good or ill, fortunes, curses... any of it.  So long as you pay for what you ask.  She had contemplated giving one or two away for free, a way to get her name out and spread word of her skill.  Now she'd decided against it.  She wanted them to guess how long she'd been here practicing her craft.  And established witches gave nothing for free.

Whatever he asked for, she'd deliver on, but if he only wished to question her craft she'd allow it.  She didn't give up any personal details outside of her chosen name (Wraith) and the fact that she was witch of this canyon.  The rest she'd allow him to guess, just as she'd guess for him.

Gonna go ahead and wrap this <3 we can have another another time!  (we can re-open if you wanted, but I usually close after a month or so!
