All Welcome
Bit of an escapee.

At first, it seemed like a great idea. Bronco was bored of staying near the den, though every time he'd tried to go further away, he was grabbed and dragged back and grounded. He was tired of that, and felt that he was ready to go out on his own and explore. So he snuck out when the others were asleep in the mid-afternoon warmth, and though he was a bit sleepy himself, he ignored the pull of sleep, ignored the need to nap and crept out into the bright daylight and away from the den.

His mobility was getting better with each day- no longer crawling or bumbling around, the young boy could romp and play, buck and bolt, the way a colt could a few hours after it was born. He still did not have the best coordination, and was just learning how to jump over small things, but he was fairly bomb-proof and wasn't discouraged when he took a tumble.

He didn't really notice how far he'd strayed from the den until he looked back and couldn't see anything familiar behind him. Nothing around him at all was even the slightest bit familiar. His ears flicked forward and backward with uncertainty. For the first time, his confidence was mildly rattled, but he told himself to be brave; he was a big guy, he'd be fine. A bit less sure than before, he continued walking- no longer romping and jumping, but moving more like a wolf as they tried to navigate without being noticed. The world was a lot bigger than he'd imagined- and he wasn't sure what he thought of it yet.

At the age of almost four months Elfie had grown up to be a young, dashing fellow. His sand and dirt coloured puppy fluff had gradually changed to a more adult look, the type and hue being of the same reddish brown that of his late mother's. He bore resemblence with Wildfire in his facial features and movements, the freckles and eye colour being the only two things he had inherited from Eljay. He had a healthy self-esteem, never were in doubt about himself and his bravery was on the brink of slight recklesness. But the last one is considered a good trait in Blackthorn lines.

At this point Elfie considered himself grown up and independent and had no scruples about wandering off and away from the rendevouz's site often. He had got his first taste in adventures, when he had discovered that the world did not end at the brink of the den, and ever since he had been working diligently to expand his horizons. This is, how he happened to cross paths with Bronco. He had visited the little cousins, when they had been nothing but little, fluffy frogs. Now the specimen had grown some legs and tail and was better at walking in a straight line. "Hey!" Elfie greeted the other boy. "Where are you going?" he asked.
