All Welcome

totally lost track of time!!! Can't believe it’s been more than two weeks since posting with this child!!! Eeeeep @Strand perhaps? She is gonna be heading on a scouting trip for a little while just fyi....

The wound on her flesh had healed, leaving a bright pink scar across her throat, wrapping around her neck like a delicate necklace. She had been keeping to herself, the wounds of her soul still deep and bleeding. The sunny and bright girl born to the Morningside pack had slowly melted away in the weeks since her encounter with Midar. The obsidian man had shrouded her life in darkness and grief.

No longer able to wallow in herself pity, Padma was sick at the thought of her weakness. The desire to grow stronger gripping the girl tightly. An obsession which had taken over her life, and was morphing her into a being not many would recognize.

Her stub of an ear swiveled as she left the pond where she had lingered for just over a month. A frown delicately scalped upon her face.

"it is if everyone dies alone."
"Does that scare you?"
"i don't want to be alone."

The island served as his respite for the moment.

The stone — his stone, he reminded himself — was well hidden, far from the prying noses of wolf or coyote or whatever creature the wraith was. He doubted it would be interesting to the wildlife that lived here on the Isle, so he was confident in its current resting place.

But if he was going to rest here for a while, he would need to find food. Sea living was not something that he was used to at all and he quickly found himself bleeding from the sharp claws of the strange creatures that lived on the shore. He was fed, but soreness dominated his body. He yawned, traipsing towards the freshwater pond towards the center of the Isle to wash the salt and blood from his body.

ohhhhhh a Melonii!! Welcome!

Strand seemed to be preoccupied by something at the moment, and so Padma sought out on her own. Headed to waters edge to begin her latest journey.

On the way the scent of an unknown found its way to her. Pausing, the yearling couldn’t help but wonder if this was another friend of Strands, or acquaintance perhaps. Taking a short detour, the reddish colored girl stalked the stranger.

She found his pelt a burnt color, and he easily dwarfed her in size. Giving no indication that she was there, Padma followed as silently as she could. Practicing skills that were quickly becoming her second nature.

The warlock lapped at the rivulets of red that streaked from his muzzle. Crabs hurt, he realized. But they were also tasty, so Ganon supposed he would have to bear such things if he wanted the crustaceans.

As he walked towards the freshwater pool, he found himself aware of something trailing him. There were a host of things that led him to realize that: being a Melonii meant that he was well versed in the art of stealth and being aware of his surroundings. But more than that, more than any training could give him, he was tense, anxious, on edge. The wraith — that strange creature that was of his blood and not at all — had been a bane on his sense of well-being ever since he stole took what was rightfully his from her and she dared to pursue him. Her ambush with her little demon friend only solidified the fact that she was willing and able to attack in order to retrieve the stone. He was willing to kill her now without the stone impeding his teeth, though he knew he was more of capable of harming her without his main weapons.

He stopped in his place and spoke out to the creature following him. Come out, he snarled. He thought his follower to be the wraith. I don't have the stone on me. And you won't find it.

Alas discovery was her ending. A scowl settled on her lips as she stepped out of the shadow cast from the scarce trees near the pond. Padma hadn’t a clue what the stranger was talking about, narrowing her gaze she glared in response to his snarled words.

Just because she had no idea what he was talking about didn’t mean that she had missed what he said. What about a stone could be so important? “And if I’ve found it already? Then what would you do?” There was a frigid edge to her tone, yet a strange kind of playfulness.

now u have two meloniis :p you may skip astara at any point <3

to what errand ganondorf sped off to with her stone, neither astara nor merrick knew. they trailed his tracks for days, rarely able to keep pace due to the sprain in the wraith’s paw. @Merrick seemed imbued with new smoldering resolve; astara knew well that he cared not for the stone.. his purpose in tracking ganondorf was far darker.

the pair rested near a damp glade nearby, and astara made her presence to the thief and his new companion known. lurking in the heather like a lingering panther, the small demon prowled from cover and sat at the shrub-line; watching, waiting — those reflective eyes haunting and full of skulking intensity.

feel free to skip merrick also <3

the encounter with the brutal wolf had left the wraith somewhat compromised; patiently merrick had waited for her to mend, understanding that the man they followed had a goodly handful of days' head start upon them. no matter, no matter. he had endless time and seldom slept as they trekked across plain and through forest, searching.
presently he watched her trail along the foliage with ears swept forward. he was content to wait until she had decided their path again, attuned to the girl's movements and her clear desire for a new conflict.

He found himself...disappointed that the woman who had been following him was not the wraith. He frowned at her, unsure who she was exactly. He didn't recognize her at all. You're not the person I'm worried about, He turned to her, measuring her up compared to him. Was she another one of the wraith's creatures? Perhaps not. If the male was anything to go by, the wraith preferred small, lithe dark creatures such as herself. But if you did I would not hesitate to kill you. As he spoke his attention was split between the woman before him and their surroundings. He could not be careless when someone was on his trail.

But despite it all, there was a larger question at hand. Why were you following me in the first place?
