Lilitu woke with extreme thirst and a pounding headache. As the day went on, neither subsided. Her breath came short, and she realized that the disease had come calling for her.

It was time to distance herself.

She howled a farewell to @Akavir, sweet and sad, bidding adieu to her dad. And to the others, too, who called this place home—she was grateful that they supported him.

Mostly, though, she was happy for her father.

Her call echoed in the distance as she walked on, the stream fading as the earth fell behind and away from her.

Things were growing fainter, fuzzier—it was best to leave this place behind and die somewhere with dignity.

Her call was something that did not offer the father solace, nor closure. How could one have closure when their child had all but said their farewell to this world.

It gave nothing but surreality. He felt numb--trailing after the form of his eldest, a distance away and possibly unseen. Pale eyes studied the lope of her walk--the certain way in which she moved that somehow reminded him of her mother.

He watched, trailing and from afar--unsure how he was supposed to accept this fate for her.
