The cliffs were just as she remembered them. She'd been here since, once or twice, but Rosalyn always seemed to feel the sensation of eyes watching from the sheer sides of the stone on first entry. It was a feeling that faded quickly in light of the tranquil beauty of the place, but her son's recent disappearance had her seeing more ghosts than usual in the open lands.
She'd kept her nose alert on the way here but there was no trace. Rosalyn had hoped more would mean more luck, so she'd invited @Erzulie and @Raleska along. The trip was not an overly long one and Aningan and the others could handle the children. They were near old enough to handle themselves, which was the only comfort Rosalyn had.
She lifted her head to taste the air, pleased to find it clean of any extended markers. They remained as empty as they had since Drageda vacated. Perhaps the place truly was cursed.

So did the demon spawn lurk to the coast, seeing a wide arrange of blue in the distant, hearthfire eyes could not resist the temptation, and so did they humble their way toward. Though another approaching the coast, as red as the crimson of the moon, but even moreso scarred and torn.
An eye of a beaty and history to their scarring lore.
Dantalion approached, a smile of welcome, but still walked a distance, keeping an length between, "Hello there miss," she so greeted.

this is still open to anyone who wishes to jump in at any point!
Rosalyn wasn't expecting strange company, but she hadn't discounted the possibility. The shore was littered with loners and packs alike, as were the surrounding lands. This woman could have come from any of those places, but her greeting was unusually polite for this setting.
The pirate settled her single, hawkish eye on the other woman. She did not look like much of a threat, but Rosalyn was impatient with the interruption. In her search she hadn't accounted for time needed greeting the local rabble.
Did you need something?she asked, bluntly but without aggression. She had no wish for a fight.

they had come up the coastline. at first the saltwife had not wished to go, for valravn still had not come home. but the potential that the seabound little boy had somehow dashed his way along the shore upwards tempted her hope, until at last she had come away with rosalyn and headed in the familiar direction of the cliffside.
as before, the empty halls of drageda haunted erzulie; her features spelled dismay, but she explored the old scents and too was satisfied to find there was no one.
valravn. she could only pray that he had returned to raleska in rusalka, and she pined for them all.
a stranger now, and erzulie silent, uninterested in interaction unless the newcomer proved worthy of intrigue.

She was blunt, and like a sharp knife. It wasn't wielded in malice, but seemed had no patience for bit a simple traveler. Nonetheless, despite the unwelcoming Dantalion held a polite smile, like a travelling salesman, "Ah, i'm a bit new to these lands," so she intro'd, "a bit interested in the locals." Information to gather, for their cabinet was so little to what should be known.
"I am simple loner." She did a tip of a head, gentleman like and giving her stance; a piece of info to let it be known they were not dangerous, for they were just alone. Though the red-woman was not, as the devil tipped a nod to the golden sea witch.

Perhaps this had been a bad idea. Strained by loss, pressed by guilt, and made irritable by the weight of it all. If a pack had been here, or nearby, would she have even been in a space to quell them? Or would they have entered a war now, just based on her manner?
Rosalyn breathed out and tried to still herself. Perhaps this woman had information that might prove valuable then, if her interest lay in the locals.

Are there many that reside around these cliffs?she asked, though first and foremost another question rose. And have you seen a boy? Yet something stayed her tongue right now. She wanted a measure of this loner before she revealed their search.

the cinnamon-spice harlot, silent as her wife questioned this newcomer. her own two-toned eyes drifted over the figure; she was impressive for her hard build but little else, and if she did not throw her lot in with rusalka, then she was nothing but an obstacle to their aims.
feeling particularly undiplomatic, she remained quiet, allowing rosalyn to speak for them both.

"None to claim, but there is a group nearby." Dantalion shared just a tiny bit of the information, though she did not their location, and the name of said pack. The little devil froms days ago, born from the cold fires of hell, attacking her so, and revealing the name of his location. Though she would never know if his name was real or not, but she found not fault into giving the saint such an odd name; Sagtannet.
"But where are you from miss?" Before giving such info, she required some back.

A group nearby. Not bordering, but she wondered how close. Rosalyn's ear turned a bit at the 'miss', and for a moment a little interest colored her up until now annoyance. That wasn't a term she was referred with often and peculiarities like that gave some color to the strangers she met. She used to get a larger kick out of it, but the novelty hadn't died entirely.
Boy had been the word that almost slipped from her lips instead, but it was no longer quite true. Valravn was on the cusp of adulthood, still so much like a child, but with an appearance that would lend this description more credibility. It was hard to believe how much they'd all grown.
Farther south, she answered vaguely. If this wolf happened to have contact with the previous tenants here, she had no desire to allow remnants of Drageda know Rusalka once more moved among the cliffs. They could find out after the decision was made and the claim was staked.
We were looking at the cliffs, but also for someone. A... young man, dark, with light green eyes.

"Oh, there's more packs beyond? I'm not familiar with any area beside this little bit." The devil let a small chuckle admitting to their feesable knowledge. Though at least she was gaining some, now knowing there was more beyond the coast, and further down. Though that trip would be stalled for a while, as there was more downwards to be seen.
"I'm afraid I haven't seen them, but if I do, who do I redirect them to?" Dantalion asked, fishing for a name.

"you be tellin' him rusalka sent you," erzulie purred coldly at her pirate's soldier. oh this one was cunning in a way no man could be; but she had misjudged them for fools. no one need know a name until they had given their own, or something else in return. the scarlet maiden had a description. nothing else was necessary.
"you are just wandering aroun' heah?" she asked in the next, albeit with a touch more warmth than before, more inquiring this time.

Erzulie broke in with the answer and Rosalyn continued to watch, though a small smile appeared to mirror her wife's expression. She allowed the question to stand instead of adding more of her own. She hadn't cared overly much at first, but that was likely a mistake.

It was unfortunate to gain no names, but Dantalion gained but one valuable information; a group called Rusalka is wanting to claim the cliff, "Indeed so, I'm but just a curious wanderer." The last part was added with but a hum to her friendly face as the devil just glanced around for a moment, wandering if the other pack would appear in anyway.
"If I see the fellow, i'll make sure to tell him."

"curious wanderers get cold in de winter, like any of us." the suggestion was heavy in the harlot's words. rosalyn would choose a canny woman over a strong man, and their clan welcomed the cool hunger of a questing mind.
the stranger was careful; erzulie would test her, but paused a moment to allow rosalyn a reaction.
in erzulie's mind, their name must come first and their teeth second. all would be set to a trial; she had the time and the energy for such, drageda's capture growing light and sweet in her heart.

Erzulie sought to recruit? In her current uncharitable mood, likely Rosalyn would have allowed the chance to pass completely unheeded. She was hardly in the place to sell membership, yet if the woman sought it... should they deny? She seemed able enough, and like she had half a brain at the very least.
Aye. And that cold has teeth on these shores.Rosalyn added. The winter had never been particularly kind. The woman's answer either way mattered little, but if she was smart as she played, she'd consider it.

Though at the moment, she held no desires for such. At the moment Dantalion wanted the freedom of no one upon her back, born in the vale, and raised into, it was the first time she had newfound freedom. Understanding the lineart that the two queens gave, she only smiled pleasantry, "Very true, I think i'll follow the birds to somewhere warmer," and indirectly rejected their offer.
"I do hope you'll find a home here, and perhaps gain an ally with the mountain folk." As much as the devil would care to ask more, the two did not seem keen to share more info to herself. Finding the situation more then useless then, she gave the words of her leaving.

lips curved; she dipped a nod at the other's rejection. another time then, for their pack was not in need of those who did not wish to be present. erzulie had enjoyed this one's company, however, and turned her knowing glance on rosalyn.
"it be nice knowin' you," the harlot purled, making as if to continue along their path. the pirate too might wish to say something else before they went on. but now erzulie was quiet, for there was nothing else to be said.

Declined, but that was no issue. They weren't desperate enough to need new blood, though the woman certainly had an air about her that at least would have made her interesting. Trustworthy? That was another thing altogether.
Rosalyn simply nodded, then watched her leave, casting a look at Erzulie with raised brow. They hadn't gotten much, but at least the conversation had been stimulating. She smiled, then pressed on, glad for the distraction that had worked to pull her somewhat from the mood prior. Valravn was no closer... but they'd continue to search.
