All Welcome
a pack howl, participate however much you want <3 @Prophet @Tulimaq @Ashlar @Augur @Mori @Kanuk

their borders finally somewhat secured, Avicus races down the sloping plains of the place, baying like a bloodhound. she reaches the crest of a rise and howls, long and joyful, russet muzzle stretched to the sky, her chest puffed and proud and—

oh! what a place. she rejoices in it.

she hasn't felt such a connection to earth since Bearclaw Valley, and revels in it. she flings herself upon the earth, her howls subsiding to yips, and rolls in the snow.

then scrambles up, shaking her pelt, and continues her run.

a woman, free upon the land that's hers.

she beckons her wolves to gallop with her, to lope along the perimeter of all they have claimed.
but see, amid the mimic rout,
a crawling shape intrude —
a blood-red thing that writhes from out
the scenic solitude

When Ashlar heard the howl his ears pricked immediately. His muzzle split with a smile as he heard the note soar and he raised his head to add his own voice. The claim was set!

Filled with joy for his friend and the dream she'd achieved, he sprinted off in the direction and joined in on the play. The giddy atmosphere was too much to resist. He would kick up snow as he bounded and rolled, weaving circles around she and the others as they happened to come.

one for me!

augur howled a long note into the air.

this land was theirs.

pausing to scrape his paws in the snow, he ran to catch up with red woman and blacktail, shouldering alongside the latter with a delighted chuff.

Now was the time to decide where she should go, who she should be.

It was not a difficult decision because tradition made it for her; knowing this was the place Tulimaq had chosen to settle and that by his decree she must stay, Kanuk could not do otherwise.

She listened. She counted the voices, how young or old they sounded, how strong. Then she gave her own - short, sweet, lasting as long as was required.

It was time, it seemed, for them to stake something solid. He heard Avi's voice tilt the scales into their favor. Her song strong and clear.

Prophet would not be far from the crashing figure of her, Ashlar and Augur. His own call ruffled into the wind with deep tones, a protective bellowing to any who might listen to them.

He would follow alongside them, bumping shoulders with any he could reach.

Hearing them together, and then to recognize the additional twang of Kanuk's voice, gave Tulimaq a moment of pause.

He was pleased with the progression of things - as well as the assumption that his savaktuk was not far from here. This call might bring them together if they had enough voices. It would draw forth the warriors of Tartok and add to Avicus' might.

Proudly the huntmaster lifted his chin and let his deep voice carry among the others. His pride thrummed in unison with those that sang for the Rise.
