Arrow Lake she enters

A gaunt figure trotted amidst the horizon, a tounge lolled carelessly out of Anastassia’s maw. She was quite thirsty now; she had not been able to drink in a long time. Then, she spotted the lake.

She sprinted towards the body of water and drank. That was when she realized that she was on some pack’s territory.

That, was real stupid on the girl’s part.

She growled to herself and emitted a long medium pitched howl, she would let these persons know that she was here.

The tresspasser was lucky that Rue was the one on patrol, because she was one of the few Diaspora wolves who was hesitant to involve herself in physical altercations. Although now that the wildly foolish girl had called out, she would attract the attention of every wolf in the territory. 

Rue was already approaching when the girl lifted her voice, but the howl made Rue trot faster. If she reached the intruder first, perhaps violence could be avoided. 

"You shouldn't have called," Rue spoke as she arrived at the beachside, "your presence was already known." The centurion's brow knit in frustration and concern.

Watching from afar, Rue had been willing to allow the girl her drink so long as she left quickly and quietly. Now that the stranger had called attention to the situation, something more would have to be done. Letting out a sigh, she spoke once more.

"I will escort you to the border." She took a step toward the border and turned over her shoulder. "Now," she added firmly.

a howl was sent up from the chilly air, sharing with thorn the location of the interloper in which he was tracking. lifting his snout up from the snow, the brute looked towards the lake where the sound had emanated from moments before. 

he was was pleased to see ruenna already there, but his countenance was dark with misgiving. what wolf in their right mind traveled claimed land so casually? did her nose not function?

he looked over the she-wolf with clear disparagement, his hackles lifted and tail held proudly over his frame. ruenna may be the more logical of the duo, but thorn resented those that did not respect primordial customs. 

while ruenna escorted, the bullish male lowered his head and charged into a lope, eyes trained on the female with aggressive intention.

Kazimir had heard the howl of a stranger and had slowly circled in that direction arriving to witness Thorn and Ruenna handling the situation. Ruenna was handling it well in her opinion, non violently while Thorn seemed to be considering an attack on the trespasser. A low rumbling growl sought it's way out of her throat and she cut it off quickly, eye balling Thorn's posturing when Ruenna was doing well enough already. She drifted closer waiting to see what transpired, lips curling as she waited for Thorn to do something.

a trespasser, but she had already been met by three of the fierce diasporans. mahler held back his approach, preferring for the higher-ranked to address the interloper before he intervened. she was a thin thing, tall and clad in a cloud of grey fur. pleasing to the eye, though her behaviour left much to be desired. and so he was quiet, watching from a stand of trees to see what might transpire.

Taki had also been tracking the trespasser, pissed that someone actually had the audacity to walk into their lands without permission. There was only a slight roundness to her abdomen, one that would only be noticeable by the ones who knew her, so she didn't think it unsafe to show herself at the borders today, not that she would have remained hidden away anyway; she could be about to burst and would still track down an intruder and attempt to deal with them. Had she not had to stop and vomit her most recent meal in the snow soon after she had started her hunt, she would have arrived sooner. When she did finally approach the scene, it was to see that the intruder had already been intercepted by Ruenna. Her gaze took in Thorn's galloping form with interest at the same time that Mahler's scent filled her nose, pulling her head and attention in his direction. The intruder seemed well-tended for now, so she trotted over to take a seat next to the Kapitan, offering him a dip of her head in greeting as she settled. Her attention settled back on the the trespasser then, and she waited to see what would happen, ready to offer her assistance should it be needed.

there were many things to be said about thorn; subtlety was not one of them. 

he bore down with a fierce stride, head buckled and lips skimmed back in a snarl. the interloper had the good sense to question her judgment, and had turned tail by the time the black phantom intercepted her. 

he did not slow his assault, preferring to nip and worry the insolent lass’ heels until she was well out of diaspora’s claim.

Just as Rue had feared, the Diaspora wolves began to appear in response to the girl's impulsive howl. Most hung back; only Thorn began a swift decent. Too swift. He was clearly out for blood, and Rue couldn't really blame him.

"Get behind me," she ordered, stepping protectively in front of the newcomer. Rue wasn't exactly sure where she would go from here...  Would Thorn back down once he reached them? Probably not. Would Rue confront a packmate to defend a stranger? ..Also, probably not.

Rue was saved the trouble of having to make that decision. Instead of staying put and allowing Rue to protect her, the newcomer chose to take off for the border. Rue sighed inwardly, watching the girl run off with Thorn hot on her heels. She hoped for the girl's sake that Thorn would be satisfied with simply giving her a good scare.

thorn approached bullishly, and mahler watched with no small amusement as he drew near to the borders. however, ruenna seemed intent to stand between them. peacemaker always, and his eyes turned fondly toward her a moment before he noted with satisfaction that the trespasser had been driven off.
there was no need to be careful when a wolf transgressed upon the borders; mahler had no place for such disrespect in diaspora, and felt his views shared by his fellow leaders. and so, gaze lingering a second time upon the fierce little ruenna, the shadowpriest turned away and moved to tend other things, inviting both she and kazimir to follow with a dip of his head if they so chose.

Taki watched the situation heat up and then diffuse just as quickly, the trespasser turning and leaving the territory before any intervention was needed. She thought it strange that Ruenna had moved to protect the stranger, especially since she had intruded beyond their clearly-marked borders. The idiot deserved the sting of Thorn's teeth in her opinion, and had she not been otherwise indisposed, she would have been at the border alongside her packmate with her own teeth bared. 

As her packmates started to disperse, she soon followed, content to find something else to fill her time today.
