A swift nod. Germanicus went towards the doe and Arric went the opposite way. A snarl a growl and a snap of teeth. he chased away the Buck. They began a dance of sorts with the stag shaking his antlers in between runs and Arric snapping and snarling at his side and his legs. While simultaneously trying to watch out for the other doe.

skillfully they worked.

germanicus cut the does apart, slashing the air before the one who was not his target.

arric engaged the buck.

one doe would live. she escaped with a bawl, legs blurring in panic as she left behind the herd-leader and her hapless peer.

germanicus now stampeded the lone animal which was their quarry into the brush, seeking to exhaust her with a run before arric rejoined him.

The man Germanicus got the she doe away from her herd and with one last snap of teeth he turned and ran with long limbs after the other wolf.

He would give chase while the buck roused his herd and he would offer his assistance where Germanicus needed it. The creek and riverclan would eat well tonight it was a good day.

Even breathing he moved into position, teeth snapping at haunches and sides. Hoping to exhaust her enough that it would be an easy kill.

the doe ran valiantly.

and in the end she tripped, legs flailing. the wolves fell upon her and ended her life in a squall of blood.

germanicus panted, too winded to speak. his yellowpaint eyes were approving upon arric.

Arric settled to his haunches and closed his eyes. Panting quietly. He was enjoying the brief moment of silence when everything within the vicinity was quiet, because of what had happened. Give the wildlife just a few minutes and then. He blinked as the animals started trilling and making noise again a small smile on his face.

He dipped his head to Germanicus, but he was fine in the silence for now.

the quiet suited each of them.

in time he fell to butchering. the first pick would go to arric as a show of goodwill between their packs.

he meant to take teeth and hide for crowfeather's den.

birdsong filled the air.

Arric stepped in where he was needed. Helped Germanicus separate pelt and teeth from the creature and a sizable amount of the meat.

in the end, they both would come away with an offering for their back. it had been a successful day.

Arric chuckled. Anytime man.

He had fun, briefly. IT was nice to push yourself. To unkink the muscles that had sat unused for a time. And now there was food to feed bellies. He needed to do more of this kind of stuff.
