Initially, it was just a funky smell and a little bit of blood. No big deal. Towhee didn't feel any different and saw no reason not to momentarily leave her post beside @Phox, @Camilla and the pups to hunt down some fresh food and work out some of this inexplicable energy humming beneath her skin.

It came over her rather suddenly. Towhee abruptly lost interest in the game trail she was pursuing and found herself awash in powerful hormonal urges. Now she sought something else, although she didn't immediately know what. She strode toward Heron Lake, stumbling across various pack mates' scents as she went. Those of @Quixote, Phox, @Tegan, @Cinder and even @Owen interested her, though there was something forbidden about them...

But then she got a whiff of some scents she barely knew: @Ailill and @Rye. Towhee stopped where she stood and arched her back, making a noise that could only be called a caterwaul.
