He seemed a little perplexed about her request, though he obliged her a moment later. As she watched Bronco turn back toward her and drop a question, Towhee felt her insides clench. The buoyancy of their lighthearted conversation sank as if weighed down with ballast as she remembered why exactly she wanted to speak with Niamh.

-"Just boring business crap,"- she answered him with a shake of her head, her eyes bland and her mouth drawn. -"You don't have to hang here if you don't want. It was fun talking to you, shitbreath,"- Towhee said, eking out a small smile as she stretched a forepaw to him for a fist bump.
-Signing.- | "Speaking." | -"Signing & speaking."- | "Mouthing (inaudible)." | Thoughts.
