On the other, those words rankled. It was the latter sentiment that manifested itself in a glare and low growl. Her lip lifted as she glowered at the older youth, the amusement slowly leeching from her features.

She didn't actually consider herself handicapped but Towhee couldn't resist saying, "I'm not weird. I'm hearing impaired. And you," she added, suddenly feinting toward the other wolf, brassy orange eyes boring into her face, "are a bitch."
