But life at the plateau was almost idyllic. And she had The Roost there. -It's no contest,- Towhee signed flippantly, as if there was no inner turmoil at all, -the plateau wins hands down because it doesn't have a tribe of murderous psychopaths living next door.- She turned her head and gave the distant woods a significant—and deeply loathing—look.

Facing her comrades again, Towhee shrugged. "Why don't you show Ceara all the old spots? We could start at the lake," she thought aloud, resuming her upward trend.
