All Welcome
Only two others from IR please!
@Towhee

He was mostly reluctant to go. Mostly, because he was still shitting himself about seeing Her again.
But it was something that needed to be done, and Rowan wasn't much of a coward.
Plus he was still on whatever high Praimfaya had given him.
He hoped he'd see her again.

Rowan looked up the short hill to the lip of the caldera. He should probably stop here.
He tipped his head back and called for Eljay because he was the only nice one in this shit-basin it seemed. And Eljay calling for whoever ran shit here was better than Rowan, a stranger.
He waited patiently, fixing himself to show he was no threat here, tucking his tail and licking his lips.

This was such a bad idea.

I can't read.... edited!

As soon as her senses returned to her completely, and the rush of the season left her veins, Fennec was full of low key paranoia.  She didn't avoid @Bronco - the opposite actually.  If he stuck around, sleeping in the same place, she was going to let this ride.  But it wasn't like they were mates, and it wasn't like she was really... ready for all that?

A week out, though, she finally began to relax.  There was no way anything would come of it and besides, it had been a good time.  An amazing time.  All hormones, nothing serious, no regrets.  (Or so she insisted, despite the fact that she knew, deep down, that wasn't entirely true).

She did get back into her previous routine with a gusto though.  Her mom was still tied up so Fennec kept to the borders, the place where she was the most useful.  She'd wanted to visit her gardens and see what spring had made them, but she'd have to save that.  Because today when she hit the edge of the territory she heard a stranger call out for Eljay. Weird but not entirely suspicious... they must not have been around lately.

Who are you?  She asked, coming up on their general location and angling (somewhat) towards them. She was clearly suspicious, ready for anything, but he hadn't earned aggression yet.
Fenn is blind, and as she's older, will take all of her character insight from tone.  If you are ever uncomfortable with an assumption she makes, please let me know!

Eldritch had offered to join Rowan in his venture, and thus she departed with him with purpose in her gait.
The journey wasn't too terribly long, but it was enough to let her enjoy the landscapes.

Upon reaching the foot of what appeared to be a collapsed-in...volcano?...Eldritch stood by silently as Rowan called, and a wolf eventually approached. This one appeared blind, but definitely not incapable.

"Who are you?" She asked. Eldritch looked to Rowan first, yielding the introductions to him.

His second ascension to leadership is unceremonious, a little uncertain. He feels like a stranger to the pack in some ways; unfit to lead them. Yet here he is, accompanying Rowan on a leader's errand, preparing to take up the role of head of the pack's defense once again. It isn't official yet, not quite. He feels like he needs to do something first, to show that he can be a leader. So far it feels... weird. He hangs back a little, lingering just slightly behind Rowan to allow him to take the lead. He reasons to himself that the other boy had always been meant to take the lead with the softer side of things; the social side. Zephyr had never been good at these things.

Their arrival reminds him of another time, a darker time, when pirates sought to steal him from his home.

The new father is not interested in much beyond his shining new little family but he has begun to roam for sanity's sake - returning to some kind of normalcy and routine when he is not needed to watch over the brood or feed his wife. That is why Reyes is there, trailing a parallel path through the sweet grass, and recognizes Rowan'a scent among the many.

Fennec must have sensed them too. She is there, her voice carrying on the wind as he approaches her flank, standing firm upon the border's inner limit. Reyes carefully watches the strangers alongside her and remains quiet, waiting for one of them to answer.

With Eldritch and Zephyr at his side, he didn't feel so nervous.
They did hang back but that was ok. He wouldn't be alone in this.
Though Eljay didn't come. A stranger did, long-legged and careful. Tiptoeing towards them with clouded eyes.
He wondered why her eyes were like that, but it didn't matter too much.
"Rowan Blackfeather. Is Eljay not...?"

He was going to ask after Eljay, of course. He was worried about why the kind man hadn't shown up.
But then there was Reyes. The missing man much the same colour as him. He saw it now, the eyes too. Bright golden. He was just more alizarin to Rowan's russet and didn't have the milken splash.
"You're one of them, aren't you?"

Why did he come to Blackfeather with those wounds? Was he sent to spy on them? His ears flicked, uncertain on how to proceed. Knowing that this man had...had he tried to trick him? It wasn't like he was hiding anything but for the Redhawks to have that level of mistrust already was...
His teeth gritted, holding his tongue. He hoped the others would do the same.

Fennec grew more nervous when it became apparent the wolf wasn't alone and the accompaniment was silent. What did they want?

He didn't exactly enlighten with that answer either. Sure, a name, but a pack was what she wanted. Eljay left, Fennec answered a little shortly, impatient with the general silence and hesitance.

She wasn't following all that well either, as she had no idea what Rowan meant when he said someone was one of 'them'. It sounded a little pointed, though. Was he talking to her? Or... wait. Reyes. He was here too, but she still didn't know what he meant there.

What do you want? she asked, ignoring the question she didn't understand. If Reyes cut across her to answer that was just as well; Fennec's ambassador skills weren't exactly top notch, especially when she got herself into a mood.

This didn't seem to be going very well right now.
The Redhawks didn't seem too keen for much right now, but Eldritch could only assume they wanted something a bit more for introductions.

Quietly she stepped forward, voice calm, gentle, yet carrying enough to be heard.
"We are wolves of Ivory Rose, we belong to the Blackfeather Woods, further northeast of here. I am Eldritch, and this is Zephyr. Rowan is our alpha, and we come to negotiate an alliance with your pack."

With a respectful nod of her head after she spoke, Eldritch stepped back a few paces. Hopefully her explanation was enough to lower tensions.
And hopefully Rowan nor Zephyr got mad at her for speaking up.

The wolves did not recognize him until Rowan's attention drew upon him, and at that point Reyes wasn't comfortable with the expression they wore. An uncertainty crackled between them; Reyes on the other hand wasn't so nervous nor doubtful, so when an explanation came - and Fennec's voice stabbed the air - he hoped to ease the tension.

Rowan. Welcome. Reyes began, knowing that the gathered voices had cut off the leader's words. For Fennec's benefit he went on to explain, After my fight with Niamh and I was chased out it was Rowan who found me. Gave me a place to recover - and I am thankful of that. Although he had made the mistake of vanishing from the ranks of Ivory Rose soon after.

If you want to talk about alliances then we can call for someone more appropriate to talk to. Phox came to mind, and Towhee, but the Sovereign had just given birth. Then again, wasn't Phox on a journey somewhere?

Reyes flicked a glance to Fennec and back again to the visitors.
