All Welcome
rendezvous move <3

the skies were warm with butter-rich light when teya woke @Ponyboy, @Bronte, and @Boris. "it cooler in morning," she murmured to them. "today big day."
nuzzling with a kiss at her mate's cheek, teya moved out into the glowing atmosphere.
with long strides she meant to lead them through the territories of brecheliant, away from the lake. into a small field teeming with tiny hummingbirds which glittered like jewelpieces above a springy carpet of moss.
her coolwater eyes were peaceful, and she looked at each of her little ones in turn.

Bronco stretched and yawned, careful now to lift his chin up when he did so in order to avoid his son's latest party trick- cramming his dirty paw as far back into Bronco's mouth as he could whenever the man yawned. More than once Bronco had nearly lost the contents of his stomach onto the boy, who'd looked almost as though he'd wanted for it to happen. He felt a paw cuff at his chin and he shut his mouth with a click and stared down at the obstinate boy for a moment before he deferred to his wife's suggestion.

He was a bit less ceremonious about it all, and as he stood, he shook out a bit of leaf litter from his pelt and gave a flick of his head, and prepared to herd them out. "Up ya git, varmints one two and three," he said with a chuckle, waiting patiently for them to go after their mother. He would bring up the rear, in case any of them should stray.

It was going to happen. He was going to get him this time. He waited, waited, waited...He knew his father would scrunch up the bridge of his nose first, squint his eyes, and then his great, gaping jaws would open, revealing the funny thing hanging at the back of his throat and today was going to be the day he punched it good! The only problem was that he'd made a few attempts before, and his father lifted his head right before he yawned. Ponyboy missed, his claws ranked through the uneven fur of his Dad's chin, and he feigned innocence the moment he was spotted.

He wriggled and pranced after his mother with glowing optimism. "We goin' swimmin' today?" he asked. "When're we gonna get breakfast? I'm hunnnnnngry!"

While Ponyboy raised his usual ruckus, Boris drew up the back of the group in his quiet, watchful ways. Dad’s presence made him bolder and he didn’t cower under the open skies like he used to — though he did look up from time to time, searching for the daytime moon as much as he searched for the wings of birds.

Neither came out to meet them today - a disappointment and a relief. Instead, the heavens had something prepared for them of equal beauty with the stars.

The clearing unfolded, and Ponyboy’s chatter became a background drawl. Little creatures glimmered in the sunlight and hovered over the downy earth. A paw pressed out, and another, and soon he found himself laying on the moss and staring out at the creatures farting to and fro.

Are they faeries? he asked in hushed wonder, cool blue eyes turning to his parents for answers.

"we can swim, and we can eat." she told ponyboy, watching boris. bronte stayed closer to her parents, even as the raven nudged her forward. "from now on, this be where you come and sleep. mom and dad come here too, and other pack wolves."
"rendezvous," teya pronounced, looking at each of her pups in turn with a little smile before she nudged her mate with a kiss.

Their children had grown and with them now being noticeably larger, the parents wouldn’t have to worry about the same dangers they had feared before. Owls would no longer look at the pups and consider them worth the risk- not with their puppy fangs being replaced by adult teeth. They’d be too heavy now to be carried off anyway. The world still had its dangers, but the Rendezvous-site was well nestled within their claim. The children should be as safe here as anywhere else, regularly visited by their family and packmates.

Killdeer would have been raised in part here as well. He wondered if he should call on his son to come and play with his younger siblings, and made a mental note to bring it up the next time he went to call upon him.

For now, in the bed of green moss and light shade they could start the next phase of their life. ”Checkout how soft the ground is here,” He said. ”Even better for working on your somersaults,” He said with a wink.

last for me!

the children spread out through the rendezvous and teya followed them with their father, breaking into a run eventually as their laughter mingled beneath the sunshine.
"hummingbirds, pony," she explained to her son. "but they like faeries, i think." a grin; she nudged him and leapt away, encouraging him to follow.
that night, she dreamt of sorana.

He smiled, knowing his children would grow up knowing stories of the fae, adding a little bit of fantasy to their everyday lives. He watched, leaning against his beloved, as their children tumbled together into their new home, and explored the scents as dust motes whirled around them. He imagined that if the fae did exist, this might have been their own playplace, and that perhaps that in sharing it, the children might live an enchanted life. It had been months since he had stepped into the proverbial fairy-ring of marriage with Teya, and his life continued to go on, dusted with a little magic.
