@Germanicus @Fennec for visibility, but open to any. dagur is trespassing so i welcome any injuries barring death :)
He had become wayward and two nights he had spent singing out to The Big Man with hopes that he would come back as he always did.
Only this time it seemed like Dagur was truly alone.
The hunger and the aches were maddening. Which was perhaps why a boy of his age had become prepared to steal, to kill. Anything to simmer the hunger that ripped through him. Stupidly he dodged over the scent lines of a camp he knew nothing of.
His goal was simple, get in and out with a meal in hand.
He had not the experience yet to know it would not be so easy.

At first Fennec thought it was a packmate.
Atreus perhaps, or Kallik… but they sounded hurried. It wasn’t until she’d moved in to investigate that she caught the scent of a stranger.
Fennec’s hackles rose immediately. There was only one, so she didn’t pause to call out a summons. Instead her walk became a full charge as she sought to intercept the intruder. She knew this place where they were well enough to risk it.
They were making enough noise to draw her. She would meet them with a low snarl and teeth. Mereo needed soldiers, but an intruder was not a recruit worth taking.

beat him up as you please! <3
She was sharp, quick. Blindness may have dulled her in some ways but she had the advantage in many other ways. Age, knowledge, size.
When Dagur saw her, it was through wide green eyes. Reminded of wild coyotes, of bucking deer fighting for their life.
Which was he?
The killer or the killed?
It was an ugly sound that rippled through the boy and he was prepared to meet the force of her teeth in full with his own.

the interloper's teeth flashed.
fennec was there and then germanicus was as well.
his own jaws meant to hold the trespassing fool while his wife meted out their justice.
they moved in silent tandem.

At some point, Germanicus joined her. She heard him and immediately recognized him, his joining giving her even more confidence as she rushed in. Two on one, this intruder wouldn’t have a chance.
Fennec wasn’t a wolf who fought often at a range. When she met the other’s pelt she latched her jaws into whatever was available - likely his side - and tried to catch hold to bowl him over. If she stayed close she could feel where he moved and how he twisted, though it also opened her up to his retaliation. She trusted Germanicus but also didn’t care - as long as she avoided the worst of it, it was worth it to drive him off and make him remember.
If she caught hold she would sink her fangs in and attempt to tear. Germanicus would be on him in an instant.

likewise - he’s welcome to get a superficial hit (or two) on Fennec since it’s realistic <3 and he can escape as you think is best!
(Though I don’t think she’d kill him if he didn’t escape XD if you had wanted him to join somehow. Can’t speak for Germanicus)

if they have a type of lowest/prisoner rank, he can def be kept to work off this crime, otherwise rough 'im up and boot him down the mountain! :D
He had always had The Big Man.
But now it was two on one and his chances seemed dead in the water. The man held him and the woman put a good blow to his ribs. The skin over them tugged and pulled until it ripped beneath her teeth.
With cries of pain, he snapped his teeth at her. At the man. Desperate to not leave as the only one dead.
For he figured they would kill him.

His teeth caught her but Fennec barely noticed. She caught hold and twisted, tasted blood on her fangs, and then snapped for more, pressing forward rather than backing off. She would let him run… but not without something to remember this mistake.
She would not back off or give him room to escape further into their territory. His only retreat was the way he had come.

i think germ would also be cool to rough him up and toss him out!
fennec wounded.
the boy cried out.
germanicus snapped to mar the closest shoulder. only in a small mercy would he not seek to break bone.
"get out!"

consider him exited if cool? :D
His side bled, his shoulder bled.
It pooled in his tangled fur. Both places would be marked for life.
Somewhere between it all they gave him a sliver of mercy it seemed and Dagur was prepared to bolt from where he had come. Out, out, out. Gone and off down the mountainside. Even if he found himself bloodied even further at the bottom of it.

Fennec gave a final snarl, but she didn’t attempt to pursue him. Blood trickled from a shallow bite that hadn’t gained full purchase, but she didn’t notice as the adrenaline began to wear off and the thunder of the fight quieted in her ears and chest.
Where do you think they came from? Her stiff posture relaxed a bit, but her ears remained tilted in the direction he had run. Following would be madness for her particularly, but maybe they should send Atreus or Tierra to track whoever it was to their destination. What possessed him to trespass so boldly escaped her, but she didn’t like the implications it could have.

he sniffed at the blood and the scents left behind by the interloper.
"there have been rumbles of snow higher in the mountains, north and northeast. he is young and would not have otherwise dared to come into mereo. there are also a surplus of wolverines around the lake."
he mused aloud, stepping forward to cleanse the dripping of red from fennec's wound if she allowed.

He’ll know better than to try it again now.Maybe that was it then.
She twitched as he touched the wound she hadn’t even fully realized was there, but then lifted her head a bit so that he was invited to continue.
I’ll get something to put on it,she added, though a moment later she reached out to where she knew his shoulder was and combed through the fur there in a quiet, but sincere thanks.

"i will go with you."
his voice was gentle. perhaps even in the studied absence of love, care had arisen.
so damned the eagle fell into step with fennec, meaning to stay with her until she sent him and his slight fuss away.
