Towhee was stationed at the pass when Rye came calling. She rose to her feet, a low growl rumbling in her throat, at the first sign of movement in the distance. But as the figure came closer and took on familiar dimensions, she calmed down right away and even began to wave her tail. Her orange eyes tracked Rye, who looked lost. She chortled under her breath.

-"WHO GOES THERE?"- she bellowed after creeping on him for a minute or so, trying to channel the proverbial Lauren under the bridge. Slightly less loudly, Towhee added, -"There's a toll to pass through here. I'll accept one loyalty card."- She winked and clicked her tongue, then more conversationally asked, -"You here to join us already?"-
