She glanced up when the light dimmed, Maxim’s silhouette blocking the weak November sunlight. Her tail waved in response to his as she padded toward the threshold and bumped their snouts together in greeting. Her discovery had put her in such a good mood, she even went so far as to give him a big, wet kiss, from the corner of his mouth all the way up and over his eyeball.
