She had made contact initially, yet it broke less than a second later as the golden Gamma hit the ground. Although a practiced fighter, the swiftness of it all caught Towhee off guard so that she did not have time to assume a defensive position before Niamh kicked her legs out from beneath her.

The joke was on her friend though: Towhee dropped just as quickly and much more heavily, right on top of Niamh.
