She wouldn't say she was happy about this, though she was satisfied with the information and with their daughters' general plan of action. Hearing that Fennec was involved neither surprised nor bothered Towhee. She was glad of it, since she didn't want Alyx traveling by herself. She still wondered about Quetzal though.

The conversation was coming to a close with a few parting remarks. After her brother's quip, Towhee added, "And don't forget to bring us souvenirs." It was a joke, a lame one at that, but it would be kind of neat if Alyx returned with some token of her travels. Preferably an aspirin for this pesky headache.
