Maybe some sleep will help my dumb fucking brain." She smiled crookedly, slowly pushing to stand. A foreleg reached out to gently touch Niamh's shoulder, a silent gesture of apology and friendship, before she sidled deeper into the cave to curl up beside Meerkat.
