All Welcome
Maybe @Ameline?
@Hunst & @Hōkūlani are welcome too as always!
It wasn't safe for her to visit Kvarsheim directly, and so Reverie had requested a single favor of @Akavir and @Arric: she'd asked that they meet with Sven, tell him of the danger lurking just around the corner. It would fall to him to protect her daughters, and Reverie hoped desperately that any resentment he might feel toward this burden was only for her, not them.

But there was another pack in the valley, too. The pack at Bearclaw Valley was unknown to her; Reverie nonetheless felt the pull of obligation calling her to their borders. If war was coming, they ought to know, she reasoned. Well... more war. The thought was almost enough to make her laugh in a hysterical, hopeless sort of way.

Instead she called for whoever might come.

Hunst moved in close behind Reverie, his massive frame a silent wall of vigilance as they approached the unknown border. His steps were deliberate, powerful, each one a reminder of his presence—a presence meant to shield her from the dangers these foreign lands might harbor. Though he had no words to offer, his resolve spoke in his unwavering pace, his eyes flicking over every shadow, every flicker of movement in the periphery.

As her voice rose in call, echoing out over the unfamiliar terrain, he felt the tension ripple through her, a tremor that he caught in the slight shift of her posture. He moved a fraction closer, enough that his warmth might lend her strength if she needed it, a silent promise of steadfast protection. Whatever peril awaited her, she would not face it alone.

Hunst’s gaze stayed forward, focused and keen, yet he was acutely aware of Reverie’s fragility beneath the weight of her mission. He would be the shield, the unspoken force standing between her and any threat that dared approach.

Cole's gaze sharpened as the stranger—a striking blonde woman with an air of purpose—crossed into Bearclaw Valley, flanked by two imposing figures. His posture was firm, ears angled forward as he observed her approach, his stern gaze resting on her for a moment before he nodded respectfully. He didn’t recognize her, and that alone set his instincts on edge.

Afternoon, ma’am, he greeted, his voice a low, steady drawl laced with caution. Name’s Cole. You’re in Bearclaw territory now.

A glance over her shoulder toward her guards reinforced his wariness; their silent intensity spoke volumes, but he kept his focus trained on her. He stood his ground, his form solid and resolute, though he made no aggressive moves. Cole lifted his head, letting out a short, deep howl for Ameline or Ancelin, signaling there was no immediate danger—but still requesting either presences.

Once his call faded into the valley, he backed a few paces away, his stance relaxing just enough to show he’d make room. He took up a sideline position, keeping his watchful gaze on the trio while awaiting either leaders, his expression never softening.

here for a scout thread! only this post, cole will fade to the back haha

The first call came from a woman, and sounded from the borders. Ameline began to make her way in that direction, which was not a great distance from her den. To her knowledge, Cole had been set on sentry duty, and unsurprisingly his call came next, asking for her.

Surely, there was business to be done, for him to call. Cole was a capable enough wolf to take a message, or to send a scoundrel packing; but a call meant that something had come to the borders that was above his clearance- a joiner, perhaps.

When she arrived, Cole held his position like a knight. She regarded the two visitors, after giving her sentry an appreciative smile. I don’t think we’ve met before, She stated, finding the visitors unfamiliar in both appearance and scent. I’m Ameline, Regina of Bearclaw Valley…You’ve met Cole, She said, with a slight gesture of her muzzle. What bringth you here? It seemed like official business, if she was to be honest.

The first wolf to answer her call was a man of towering proportions, darkfurred and polite but — the way he spoke reminded her of Boone. Reverie bit the inside of her cheek to ward away the sudden threat of tears. Abruptly everything about him reminded her of Boone, and she was forced to look away; grateful, then, for his call and the subsequent arrival of a young woman who carried herself with the confidence of a leader.

Hello, Reverie greeted each of them, but her attention settled quickly on Ameline. I'm Reverie. I used to live with some of the packs in the valley. But I'm only passing through now - I'm here to bring a warning to the packs in the valley. A group of hostile wolves will be traveling this way. Soon, but I don't know how soon. They call themselves Sunfil - and they bring war wherever they go. They steal children and kill their parents. They're trying to raise more soldiers.

I'm hoping to find allies to the west, She added softly. But when Sunfil comes to the valley, I'll be back.

Ameline listened, studying the woman's goldspun features, taking note of what she believed to be an earnest warning. The Regina showed little sign of concern until it was mentioned that the incoming crew stole children from murdered parents, to force them into becoming soldiers. A soft growl sounded in her throat; she did not think it likely that any of her daughters would willingly follow those who had murdered their parents- but they might not be given much of a choice, if these wolves had a strong following already.

Why are they comin' here? She asked, mildly defensive. An' how do you know where they're headed, and what they do? They followin' you? She asked, squinting, suddenly keen to send the woman back out into the wilderness, so the Sunfil might not track her directly to Bearclaw's borders.
