Whether or not she wanted them, she knew she would get them at some point. Would it make any difference? She didn't know. Based on what she did know, Towhee couldn't see any way to justify his egregious attack. It spoke to a bad temper, which did not bode well for a member of the pack, much less a Sovereign. She cringed now, to think of how she'd dreamed of that possibility. But it didn't escape her attention that she already had a wildcard in the leadership.
