"I could become a grandma in the spring, via Fig or Fen," she pointed out with a smile. Before Meerkat had come along, this whole concept had been her saving grace. "I don't think either one has romantic prospects at the moment but that doesn't really mean anything. I know better than to make plans for my kids but I love the thought of Fig finding a mate and branching off to form another sister pack. We've even been grooming him for that possibility, a little bit," Towhee shared.

And as for Fennec, well, she totally believed her blind daughter could do whatever she wanted, whether that was finding a partner and founding a pack too, or something else altogether. She'd wondered about the possibility of Fennec pairing up with Bronco or, hell, even Penn. But she sensed that Fen was perhaps too independent to tie herself down to someone like that, which was part of why she didn't worry about Kukutux's influence.
