Northstar Vale comfort in the clutter

Towhee had woken up on the right side of the bed today. All day, she had been frolicking around the willow grove, humming under her breath and clicking her heels. Everybody else was off doing their own thing and she didn’t mind that one bit, entertaining herself by making her way to Wraen’s Nest and having a three-hour-long, one-sided conversation with what she thought was a bird perched in a tree. Upon closer inspection, it was just a leaf.

She decided to head back to the roost to spruce up the den a little before Maxim and the kids turned up again. Still feeling energetic, she ran the length of the field and went bursting through the trees on the spring’s western edge, crashing loudly through the brush and singing at the top of her voice.

Without any warning whatsoever, Towhee vomited spectacularly.
