As soon as she left Fennec’s den, Towhee trotted to the borders. When she arrived and saw a dark figure there, a growl rumbled in her chest. Feeling even more protective than usual, she strode toward the stranger with her head and tail both arched severely and a no nonsense expression on her face.

State your name and business, the Sovereign commanded, eyeing the other wolf even as she drew in her scent, analyzing the details it provided.
