@Njord accompanied erzulie along the coast. she found herself standing warily before the gates ot the once-dragedan lands, palatial in their expanse of saltlicked stone. but she had entered. a tension gripped rusalka, one that felt altogether familiar, too familiar, hanging cloyingly in the air. where was @Rosalyn?
she marched off at once to find her wife, cinnamontip ruff bristling with the indignant electricity sparkling among the sheaves of dragonrock, amid the crash of the cold waves below.

The reaper peered out, firstly being wary of the man with a red-tail, but relieved that the golden sea woman had returned. If Grímnismál still had a tail, there would be a slight wag, but she should give thanks for the fact her emotions could not be read that easily anymore. Except, it was, for she had a burning gaze on Erzulie from her hiding spot.

'Welcome back,' is what she wish to say. Though at the moment, a bit nervous from seeing a new man in the ranks.

Rosalyn was avid in her attempts to lay claim best she could, but no longer tireless.  She was asleep when Erzulie arrived as a result.  The pirate had taken to walking the borders nights as well as days, between hunts, but had seen neither hide nor hair of the man or woman again.

Tempted to approach their borders with terms, she'd waited.  Right now she was curled within the central cliffs, beneath a ledge, dreamlessly occupied.
skippable/cameo unless they wake her up!

One post (potentially) from me for continuity :D He hasn't noticed Grim in her hiding place.

Dragoncrest's cliffs cut through the hazy marine layer like a blade. Waves boomed against the stone, fortified by tall pines nestled in outcroppings like watchful sentinels. It was, quite possibly, the most majestic place Njord had ever seen. He followed Erzulie closely up its harrowing corridors (trying his best to memorize this path as they went) to their new home.

The pair talked a bit on the way, mostly bringing Njord up to speed about Valravn and the bear, and Njord explaining island life on Meares to the South, but he could feel a tension… a preoccupation… as they grew nearer to the cliffs, and the islander fell silent. He trailed behind his cinnamon captain, fox red tail wagging excitedly.

As they moved into the heart of the territory, he could feel a shift in Erzulie. A seriousness. It reminded him of his mother. “You must be tired of me, that was quite the road trip!” he told the leader with a laugh. “I’ll leave you be and go explore a bit,” he suggested. “Catch up later?” Should Erzulie agree, the boy would turn and head off into the woods, eager to see this claim Rusalka had staked.
Members of Sun Mote Copse are welcome to join all threads and power-play Njord (excepting injury or death) for cohesion and continuity, whether or not he's an active participant in a thread. Just tag me!

erzulie had not noticed the shy young healer and her reticent nature. her own focus was upon the lay of drageda — rusalka now, she reminded herself with a grim air — and how rosalyn had fiercely set about making the cliffside their own.
njord trailed at her hocks; the sound of his boyish voice halted her. "not at all, mon cher," came the lilt of her voice. "but yet. go an' take it all in." a grin she did not quite feel within her, rakish; she watched the young man pad off into the weald and set herself to locating her pirate.
her step more meandering now; she turned toward the sea, what glimpses of it caught between the pines for her; she breathed the salt tang of the air and wondered if truly now they would remain here. upwards and upward, traversing to where rosalyn lay sleeping, yet not discovering her yet, and one ear backtwitched for the sound of any pawsteps to follow.

When the red-tailed man finally left, only then did she gain the courage to step out. Following meekly so after Erzulie, she softly asked, "uhm, is he... Part of Rusalka?" Not that she minded, but a slight memory of Wintersbane came to be if he would be the same. Lately though, all that seemed to come to Rusalka were all but male, minus herself.

"Oh and.. Welcome back." Said, rather shyly, to the point she wanted someone to end her right there and then.

a blink. "hello, grímnismál," the harlot beckoned with a swing of her fineboned head. "it is good to be back." to the mention of njord, she gave a brief grin and a mischevious expression. "his name is njord. he is a good man, i t'ink; he came all de way up de coas'line wid me."
but he is still a man, the unspoken knowledge. perhaps grímnismál would gather it up like a missive written in peeling ink.

"He has a red tail.." She couldn't help but say out loud when her ruby-gaze watched him until he fully left the view, finding it not only enthralling, but a simple eye-catcher. She doesn't think she ever saw someone with such an exotic feature, some commented about the reapers own eyes, but she never met another like him.

"Kaertok brought me here when I got lost," Grímnismál admitted, albeit embarrassing, but thankful to the white wolf.

"'t'ank de salt for dat," erzulie breathed softly. she still was unsure what to make of the pale man who had so fiercely attended raleska since coming here. from a motherly sense, she was pleased that rusalka's melancholy daughter had found devotion in the northerner.
valravn remained missing. she would take rosencrantz, the harlot decided, go down the coastline again. for the last time, she supposed with a hard pang in her belly.
and in another way, kaertok's loyalty to raleska spurred the vague notion of deposement that always took place in the back of her mind, since she had rosalyn had become sea-queens of the place once known as drageda.
still, overall, she was pleased to know that the man was applying himself to the rest of sapphique. "what you be likin' about de place?" the harlot invited, turning her mismatched gaze upon grímnismál.
they spoke for some time, parting ways in a warm light.
