Big Salmon Lake I've got good intentions

Towhee’s days passed in a blur of summer sunshine. She had no complaints as she watched the two newest Redhawks grow up in the Hobbit Hole. Most of her time was spent looking after @Carolina Redhawk and @Lyric Redhawk in one capacity or another, though she carved out time for patrols too. Life was as idyllic as it had ever been, so she knew it was just a matter of time before the universe whumped her hard. In the meantime, she enjoyed every golden moment.

Presently the pups were tucked in bed and her patrol was done, though the night felt young to her. Towhee decided to do something she hadn’t done recently: leave the caldera. She didn’t venture far, meandering through Bramblepoint and idly keeping her feelers out for nocturnal game. She decided to pay a visit to the lake over yonder, particularly when her squinted orange eyes spied a figure slumped on the far shore.

From her side of the water, the Redhawk halted and took a seat, freeing up her forepaws to cup around her mouth as she hollered, Hey, you, with the face! Are you dead?
