She wouldn’t have issued the invitation if she minded, though Towhee didn’t point that out. She simply nodded her head, then broke into a swift walk. She really was full of beans this evening, though she was still an older woman. Hopefully Eydis wouldn’t have any trouble keeping up with her.

As the two she-wolves ventured into the trees, Towhee slowed a little to ascertain their surroundings. There wasn’t much to see, given the darkness, and of course she couldn’t hear shit. But her nostrils flared as she drank in all the various smells, sifting through them in case any proved promising.

In the meantime, her orange eyes found Eydis’s pale green ones as she said, Truth or dare, apropos of nothing.
