Encouraging all packmates to send up a howl! One post each oughta do it :)

The wailing of the young creature split the silence of the night. Moss, ambling along the borders, stiffened when she heard it’s anguished cries and could feel the fear and suffering. She knew she would not make it in time, from the sound of the wails- but she ran toward the sound nonetheless.

The dark woman had fled the scene already but her scent was thick. Moss spent little time investigating the gore- and called out with a rallying cry to stir into wakefulness her packmates, if they had not already been privy to the beast’s last wails.

She hoped they might lend their voice to hers- so that the shadowy woman would be chased into the darkness by the sound of vengeful voice.

Then, she would need to act. Having arrived upon the scene mere minutes after the coyote had been transformed into both a corpse and a curse, she had hope that she could overtake the witch, and finally bring her to her end.

It was their first night in their new den, and Reverie felt — almost at peace. Almost. She'd taken to turning some of her obsessive tendencies on @Lestan, to give @Blossom a break; when she wasn't tending their daughter she was grooming him, fussing over him, pressing herbs on him. It kept her occupied until it was time to sleep again.
Sleep was rarely kind. She was not so fitful, not like the first night, but Reverie slept lightly and woke often, checking that Blossom and Lestan were still breathing and unhurt. When the shrieks started, she was awake, but just barely. Immediately she flew into a state of alertness, hackles spiking along her spine. A low growl under her breath, and she rose at once, turning away from Lestan and their daughter to stand at the mouth of the cave. Moss's howl rose moments later. Reverie only stood for a heartbeat, reluctant to add her own voice to that of the woman she had led on and ultimately discarded in the cruelest of ways. But for the sake of Blossom, she did.
She trembled as she returned to her daughter.

Arric heard the cries and ran as furiosuly as his frame would allow, but then it was silence and he stopped to stand still. His heart beating heavy in his chest. Was it one Of Akavirs, was it Blossom to distraught to realize it was both to young and too high.

Then Moss's voiced lifted and he followed with his own rage filled howl. Any who knew him wouldn't expect such a sound, but no more was he playing. She spilt blood caused a scene. He was done.

hesitantly at first but then with gathering strength, lestan added his voice.
he meant protection, and if protection meant death, then he too would carry it out.
making a mental note to find moss again, the mayfair turned back to his small family.
