between tikal and arrow lake, set for 6.21 <3 taking liberties they'd follow! no posting order
the next morning found germanicus awake with the dawn, and the darksilver frame of his moved in the small camp.
"the canyon is inhabited." his canyon.
his no longer.
"we have the choice of asking for passage through their lands, or diverting over the mountain. it will add half a day's travel," the ranger added.
the yellow eyes were silent as he passed them over @Akavir and then @Wren.

Recouped.
Akavir didn’t feel any less murderous to the man before him but he felt tempered only with the knowledge that he was a needed resource for the moment.
Eyes cold upon him as he spoke, Akavir cast a sideways glance to Wren to see her reaction. A half days travel added was less than ideal. It was another day his kids were once again without him.

Do you know anything about this pack in the canyon?Deadpan tone. Condemnation burning from his eyes to the other man wondering at the audacity of life.

Wren had decidedly refused to part from Akavir's side. Even now, as their approach to the eagle is made, she brushes against his flank as she walks, or gives the occasional touch of her nose to his shoulder.
A silent pact that neither would sink teeth into Germanicus without unjust reason. But were their reasons really all that unjust?
Either way, as she comes to a halt beside the two men, her glare to the Stone Circle wolf is horrendous. A seething, grotesque anger. An unforgivable kind. She cannot look at him without seeing Silvertongue's narrowed face, the dimples in her cheeks, the sing-songy romance of her foreign tongue.

Up to you, Akavir,is all that she says, swallowing a grumble, eyes softening when they turn to the Mayfair if only for a minute.

when the swiftcurrent wolves returned, germanicus sensed a new closeness between them, one that ostracized him further.
"no," he responded in the same tone. "i only know the canyon's details."
as he spoke the roman turned away, mentally seeking the cool shadows of the forest wherein a den of roots lay, and beyond that —
silence fell over he and the other two. the decision fell to akavir and germanicus would heed it.

Wren was no more a fan of the scenario than he was. His eyes drifting from her to the eagle before them—no longer a soldier. A soldier held a certain term of honor, and there could be nothing said as such for Germanicus.
Around. The less dealings we have with others the better.Or such was his thought in the matter—he wouldn’t be able to muster the ability to play nice with Germanicus to put on a show for the wolves of the canyon.

Well! Wasn't this quite the bunch of roses?
And despite her comment, she pushes past him, taking a leap up onto a leering boulder of gneiss. And then, one bossy forepaw is gestured outward.
Oh, how badly she longed to leave him for dead.
What're we waiting for, then? Let's get outta 'ere.Nose upturned, her gaze is turned back to Germanicus. Stoic as ever, as if nothing had even happened, and it only made her all the more irritated.
Lead the way, schmuck.

for a moment germanicus felt himself no more than the outcropping beneath wren's paws.
her order cut their path southward at once, into the forbidding reaches of the mountain named for shadow.
here the trails were narrow and littered with sharp cascades of shale. he picked himself slowly up the terrain, thinking of how he had climbed with makono when she had come to train in mereo.
what sort of pharaoh had she become, the eagle wondered in empty thought, the ridgeline soon towering with its miniscule paths which cut across the very face of the peak.
here the air thinned beneath the wind's keen. once he glanced back to see that they followed.
