All Welcome
she's looking for @Tullik and/or @Marina but aw <3

kukutux wished to find rodyn next, but there were many here she did not know. they would find the moonmother bright with confidence, her springjade eyes watchful of the strangers.

but there were also seal hunters here, kukutux knew, remembering the trade that she had made with chakliux.

it was customary to bring a gift, and so she went to seek the young wives of the seal man, carrying the last of her bison meat from the great hunt and a curl of herbs that she had only found in the mountains.

It was abrupt.

She had been so sure this pregnancy was easy. Until it was not. Tullik sickened in strides, until she wasn't hale enough to continue her weaving for Raiyuk. Her present for him would soon be done, and she need it to be done before the children arrived, so she worked on it anyways.

When moonwoman arrived, Tullik’s shaking paws were working still, forcefully pressing kelp into place in the weaving. Blood screamed in her ears, so loud she did not hear the woman approach.

Tullik grew ill, and Marina was worried. She had not sickened in the same way; her own pregnancy was a much quieter ordeal, a whispering of nausea and fatigue that often faded by midday. The scent of fish drove her mad, and that was unfortunate, but it was the worst of what she dealt with.

All of her energy was devoted to fussing over Tullik now. She spared no thought for her own pregnancy, her own children. They would come all the same, but this distraction was welcome. It was easier, somehow, to anticipate the mountain woman's children over her own.

Maybe you should take a break. Rest for a bit, then continue, She was suggesting gently from Tullik's side when a pale woman approached them. Marina glanced up with gentle surprise. Oh, hello.

kukutux found the wives quite by accident. her practiced eye took them in. one was ill. the other worried. both quite young, though to her the weaving woman was hardly more than a girl.

she set down her offerings. "i am moonmother kukutux. chakliux asked me to come and teach his wives the knowledge of seal hunter women." she looked between them. "chakliux has been gone long hands of time, yes?"

Marina.

If there was anything she was thankful for in this endeavor, it’s was her fellow wife. Tullik’s paws returned to tuck neatly beneath her body, but the shaking remained in her shoulders, the hunch of her body.

I need to finish it. It was a half beg, Tullik’s fever bright eyes turning to Marina, only to notice the other woman looking behind her. She looked too, to the moon pale woman and her approach.

Kukutux, she said her name was, and Tullik straightened.

I am known as Tullik. Once of the mountain-walker people, now of the seal hunters. She spoke in her far-north tongue, the rough hewn stone and swirling snow.

He has. She left Marina to introduce herself, as a queasy feeling rolled through her and she had to turn her head.
