All Welcome
Rodyn had not done much in the colder months. And he did not know still who stirred in the vast forests and the wilds of the teekon. But if nothing else he was a man of his word and he was a little bit late. But they could hunt Caribou. He had watched as the large creatures began their migration to other places. They would cross the ice soon.

So it was with that in mind that he lifted his muzzle to the sky and he hoped that wolves could hear him. That someone or many would come. That they could have their fellowship again.

He first called the wolves of Moonglow. Ajei and @Arrluk to begin preparations. He had spent days, weeks even getting furs together. Separating spaces for each group of wolves.

He then lifted his muzzle for @Towhee and @Killdeer and Amalia. They could bring their loved ones and their family for this hunt.

He curled at the foot of the mountain and he called for @Katmai and Kinusi. To bring their numbers and hungry bellies.

He did not trust the wolves of Verapaz, but this was a group outing that was meant to bring together. That was neutral there would be no trading of the bad things. He called @Kemal.

And for the first time, he lifted his voice to any loners that still called these wilds home. Perhaps the re were still queens of the sea left @Sobeille or anyone else. He wasn't sure, but he welcomed loners this time, because their numbers were small.

Okay loners and pending packs can come to this one anyone who wishes. This is one post for wolves that are here. I'll do a random pick of groups once I know who all is coming. Each leader is responsible for calling their own members. Hope you guys enjoy.

Killdeer was a man suffused with gratitude.

He had always been a positive soul, but more than ever, there was much to be thankful for. His youngest children were growing big, beautiful and strong. His grandmother had birthed (!!) still more children, which meant his latest collection of piblings were many seasons his junior—a fact that never ceased to amuse him. Faces new and old had joined their ranks, which were fairly strong as they headed toward winter.

And now, a call to the hunt from the northeast. He recognized Rodyn's friendly voice and responded in kind, before making his way down the caldera, summoning members along the way.

Come hunt! Killer told Amalia over the wind, tail wagging excitedly. @Lyric and @Carolina were invited along, too; they were old enough to observe, if not yet participate. Towhee would stay behind with her newborns, naturally, and someone ought to stay with the nursing mother. He'd leave that to the rest of the adults to decide—perhaps the junior Towhee would watch over her namesake while they hunted.

The Patriarch let this jubilant message echo through field and forest, and before long, the Redhawk wolves were well on their way to Firefly Glen and the prospect of a feast.

@Alivia @Hotah @Tzar (not tagging new beebs for obvious reasons)

Redhawks are still on the way as of this post, but others can feel free to have them arrive in your post!

The call for a group hunt was quick to catch his interest. It would be a good opportunity to properly meet the other packs, and show them that Verapaz was no longer what it once was. Soto was gone.

Kemal responded soon after; Verapaz would be on the way soon, and they were eager to meet neighbours.

He would need to move quickly, and sorted out two additional howls. The first to his pack, inviting them to follow, and the second to Safiya, asking her to join them if she had the time.

Assume you're all welcome to come with Kemal! Let's go be social Verapazers, improve our rep! @Safiya @Dracarys @Disa @Margarida @Serein

The calls of pack wolves can't help catching Beau's attention. From what he can pick up, there's a hunt, and packs are invited. Not just packs, but loners too.

He clicks his tongue; maybe it would be worth stopping by.

Beau will show up!

Cinar was fast to join the caldera wolves attending the hunt. While he himself wasn't much of a hunter, not of caribou anyways, he saw the benefit of coming along for the chance to meet wolves in other packs. He needed to become familiar with them sooner or later.

He did question whether or not it was wrong to tag along and likely join the feast when he certainly wasn't going anywhere near hooves, but chose to justify it with the idea of watching over the fledglings. That way, Amalia could hunt too.

One of the calls from the host did force him to pause. Verapaz. Cinar knew he would have to avoid the desert dwellers, but how hard could that be?

The prospect of a massive hunt was exciting, and Defne was eager to tag along with Verapaz. She hadn't hunted in years, she was certainly quite rusty, but should Kemal not stop her this would be a good chance to start again.

Besides that, maybe she would have a chance to follow Disa's suggestion. A caribou hunt, especially one filled with pack wolves, was sure to have men her age who were strong enough to fit her standards.

Ensuring Yavru was held on tight to one of her legs, she was quick to follow after Kemal as he prepared to leave.

Lyric was thrilled by the prospect of the pack hunt, but moreso when he knew his mother would be coming along. Sure, he and Carolina couldn't catch the big stuff yet, but they could still show off their rodent catching skills. Maybe there would be a new audience for him, too!

He was curious to see what the other pack wolves looked like, and if there were any his age. The only pups in the caldera were related to him, and that didn't make for great prospects in the romance department. He needed a love interest for his performances, the rocks just weren't doing the trick anymore.

Defne followed Kemal, and Disa followed Defne. The prospect of a large-scale hunt was exciting, and she was glad to get a break from enriching the garden soil and sourcing rocks for the fence.

She kept  close to the elder woman's flank, occasionally locking eyes with Yavru. Disa had grown to like the impotent little worm. They shared the same blank stare, and sometimes it curled up on a warm garden stone to watch her dig.

More packmates joined, and the caravan of Verapaz wolves picked up the pace. They had a long journey ahead.

A howl from the wilderness caught the attention of the coastal woman.

A group coming together to hunt; the packs of the wilds, but forming groups and loners were welcome too. Hokulani was immediately tempted. It would be a chance to do some real recruiting, given her trip a couple months earlier hadn't exactly been successful.. not in that way, anyways.

She was in no state suitable for travel, but Hokulani was going to be stubborn. She would certainly be a day or two late, but she was going to get to that glen.

At the sound of the call, Katmai headed down the mountain with @Kinusi and Kindle, eager to see the leader of his natal pack once more. Alaric came with them, of course, and @Cosmo and @Kira Lazore and even Tikaani — though Katmai was not sure how well she would enjoy the gathering, based off of how she'd seemed at the pack meeting.

They'd left Treepie at home, and Haedwig with Europia. Neither were quite fit for hunting, and Treepie had simply declined — but Katmai reasoned that they could come down any time if they changed their minds, so he didn't feel too badly for leaving them behind.

It was only just a howl and a jog away, after all.

His young pack thronged together amongst the wider gathering of wolves. He was eager and excited to get to the hunting, but as always, the prospect of making friend interested him even more.

Let me know if I need to make changes or if I forgot someone!

she rose from her hollow, brushing frost from her coat. the caches were ready: herbs bound in pelts, meat sealed in stone, every knot tied in her mother’s way. she gathered what was needed, the scent of rosemary and salt clinging to her fur.

with one last glance toward the horizon, she began her descent.

The summons was not for her, so the noise played out as a background song as Sorrow picked her way along a narrow ledge far above the treeline - by the stars, this mountain looked easier to climb from down below - until, most unexpectedly, she found herself in the footnote! She nearly lost her footing. Her? Invited? To a hunt? Not by name, of course - oh, never by name anymore - but invited nonetheless.

Well, wasn't that peculiar.

Her sensibilities told her to stay away from a gathering of this sort - hungry wolves from differing factions hardly ended in anything good - but curiosity tipped her ears to where the howl had sounded. Not more than a day's journey, if she pressed herself, and in the direct path she'd been headed in anyway. A coincidence, perhaps - or perhaps, she was meant to be there. Hah! Her nose crinkled. Her, destined to be anywhere. And the thought made her laugh, and to Sorrow, this was a good enough reason to go.

@Sorrow follow up maybe? :eyes:
He told himself, when he heard the howl, that it wasn't any of his business. Grayday, though not particularly asocial, possessed a healthy wariness of any large gathering of strange wolves. Yet when he ran across the scent of a loner not unlike himself, he hesitated.

Grayday found himself trailing after the stranger at a distance, wondering what it must be like to exist alone and at the outskirts of such a crowded gathering. After a little while he called out, not to the others but to her; an invitation of his own for his fellow outcast.

Welcome to the hunt all! @Raindrop @Valiant @Ippiksaut @Ludovicus

Arrluk helped to gather the pelts long hunted by Rodyn and long prepared by his wife. He did not spare his daughters from work, settling small pelts of a fox to Chinook and hare across the back of @Ahna. He hoped that both @Aureli and his apprentice @Delos would join them. A grand place to offer their skills should any injuries, little or large, happen during the hunt, as well as possibility for training sessions inbetween.

Weighed down with all which might be slung over his back, the leader took long careful steps which would bring her and his pack to the glen south of their home.

Arrluk remembered these lands a years past, teeming with wolves from all over the wilds. So many camps made that Arrluk hadn't even the time to stop by each before the hunts had ended. The Moon tribes florished - Moonglow, Moonpspear, Moontide, Moongrove .. It was not Moonwoman who made settlement at their camp this season, but the young whale-wolf son.

It is the Redhawk wolves to the south which are the first to join their number and Arrluk woofs with a happy greeting to the man Killdeer, whom he knew from his time in Moonspear past. On the horizon, wolves from further south yet still. Arrluk knew little of the Verapaz wolves. In fact, he only knew them as the wolves which had introduced the wilds to the green. A substance which had broken his mother into fits of delusion (or enlightenment?) in her last year of life.

Flocking inbetween from all directions, loners which came in one at a time. Carrying looks of curiosity and longing in their gaze. Winter held threat of come, carried with the crisp autumn breeze. A great hunt was to be had and, if they were lucky, lone wolves would find a place to call their own.

Speak of a hunt in the glen sparked feelings of excitement and worry for Ludovic. It would be an opportunity to show all he had learned, meet other packs, and allow new mentors into his life. But, it was also a chance to fail. Part of him worried that so many eyes on him would cause him to slip up, and he would humiliate Moonglow.

More than that, he wondered if there was a chance of seeing his biological family. It was wishful thinking, but he wasn't sure if he really wanted that either. It would be insanely awkward if he couldn't remember them.

With the permission of his parents, Ludovic picked up and helped out where he could and set off for the glen. He would have to take the risks this time.

the gathering was large. much larger than he'd anticipated. with ghost perched on the junction between his shoulders, tzar joins those of the caldera that had already arrived. his mother, towhee jr, had elected to stay behind and help towhee sr with her newborns — squalling little fuzzy blobs that he envied his mother's inability to hear them.

ghost was a persistent addition to his own person, and tzar began to suspect that his mother had relinquished guardianship of the falcon to him permanently ( to always keep an eye on him, of course ).

cold gaze studies the wolves — kin and strangers alike — thinking that with the overwhelming amount of adults present that he could keep watch with the younger children; fearing he might only get in the way.

Sven arrived tired and paw sore. But he remembered these hunts fondly. He looked for wolves he once knew Chani, Cygnet, and even his siblings. But he did not see them.

He did not have much to offer but his hunting skills. He had carried with him precious herbs that could only be found near the circle. And a unbreakable soul.

He stared around him. At the faces. So many, but still not as many as there had been.
Because he was raised speaking both Icelandic and English. He has a slight accent when he speaks English

Indeed, there were fewer here, but wasn't that the way of things? No pack stood forever, but the world continued to turn. This was a sure a thing to Simeon as the spring and autumn rains.

But though there were fewer faces here, there were many newer ones, pack and loner alike, and Simeon roved through the Glen as confidant as any pack wolf, mingling about from circle to circle until his gaze collided with familiarity at last.

@Killdeer! he moved in to embrace his cousin, fondness from their last meeting still spilling over. Gramma didn't seem to be with him this year, and he tried not to let his worry override him. He would ask about her later, when he found a quieter moment.

Feel free to assume he's hanging out with the Caldera, for the most part, if that's okay of course!

Healing circle for anyone who wants to be a healer will also be added

Alaric found himself down the mountain with hsi daughter and her paramour. He was glad to get away from the mountain for a time. But part of his heart was sorrowed as he realized Kukutux would not be there to make healing circles and he determined that he would have to make some for her. He would make sure he had enough help. He knew Kinusi would help him and he thought of the sea born boy, the quiet one if he may arrive. It would help them.

Quietly he moved into the area. Knowing he would give his best to help with the healing circles. He thought fondly of the wolf Kukutux and hoped to see her again. And perhaps meet some new healers, maybe find a home among these wolves. Though thus far. He wasn't entirely thrilled with all around him. But he arrived. In his maw herbs, and on his back a hare. He would share the small bounty he had.

Fabienne heard the howl. She was curious. But immediately on edge as she arrived. Wolves all around. More than she had seen in such a long time. It was distressing to her. But she put on a brave face and moved about them. Listening, but not speaking. her broken english having no home here yet.

Ahna excitedly followed her family beyond the spine. They traveled just outside their territory, to a wide open glen! Although, her father didn’t spare she and her sister from work. On her back she carried the pelt of a hare. It was soft and warm and didn’t weight too much.

Once they arrived in the glen, she could smell the presence of many wolves! So many new scents, canine and natural! they had found a place to set up camp.

“This is amazing!!!” She exclaimed! “Aanaa, Aapaa, will there be more pups to play with?”

She must be crazy, coming back here, to these Wilds, these lands, these wolves. What good had this place ever done for her?

Yet her lonely heart ached as it did from time to time, and when it ached, she ran.

And ran and ran, both from and towards. Loneliness lost her in the maze of a million faces, and when she finally crested the edge of the Glen with its multitude mingling within, Jasmine descended until their scents became her own, and loneliness couldn't follow.

After a debate with her mother, Ponderosa followed Ludo down the mountain and into the valley below. She had wanted to be there for her mother, especially since the pups were due any day now. But, she also didn’t want to leave Ludo all on his own. He was her little brother now, and she took her duty as big sister seriously.

“Look at all of these wolves….” She breathed, looking over the glen. It truly was amazing, but for an introvert like herself, excitement and nervousness battled against each other. But, she felt better knowing that her pack mates were here, and most importantly, her little brother.
