Quote:Gestational wolves can only have 1 litter per year and each litter may only contain 4 surviving pups.

Does this mean that a wolf can only conceive every other season?

and

Does breeding season apply to wild fauna/all animals? As in, is it the only time other animals can conceive, even if its not their realistic breeding season?

1. It's per calendar year; we'll update the language to make this clearer.

2. All WF follows our current breeding guidelines unless otherwise arranged with the CMs. If you have a specific inquiry, just drop us a line in Contact the Staff!

Thanks for the response! Can an example be given of what "per calender year" means? As in, can they only conceive within a years span apart, or do the birthings need to be a year apart?<3

Maybe once per breeding season is a good way to put it, since those come once a year.

! That makes sense. There's room for overlap so Ive been scratching my head, but I think its beginning to click on what that means. So its just per season, and not 12 months between litters?

I think as soon as breeding season starts, gestational characters get a metaphorical check box labeled "Have they had a litter yet?" And they can check it whenever they want within the appropriate season, regardless of what they did last year or when.

They do not need to be 12 months/1 year apart.

A gestational character can have a litter in 2022, another in 2023, another in 2024 -- once per calendar year.

"Calendar year" and "breeding season" are fairly synonymous in this scenario but I'll ask about the wording in the Guidebook.

Let me know if this helps clarify! :)

I understand now! Thank you. I was taking "per year" literally:)

Just clarifying in case anyone else was also confused by this. Calendar Year means 1/1/XXXX to 12/31/XXXX. So 1/1/2022 to 12/31/2022 would be a full calendar year.
