tagging everyone! u can decide ooc or ic if u will join <3 also @War @Xynos

when @Aventus and@Arielle had come back to the flatlands, it was with the location of the saints.
tuur had turned. but merrick did not think of @Sivuġat now.
ursus departed.
the bruin-witch ran with @Avicus and @Ashlar, drew closer to the mountains alongside @Surya and @Ingram II. if @Slate had come or stayed within akashingo to tend the wounded boy, he did not know. and if the @Taggerung had swept along, merrick did not see it.
his madness came to fruition.
day turned to night turned to day again. the roguewolves crept the rim of the canyon but did not descend.
the fact provided by the realized tuur was that @Nyra had uprooted her wolves. merrick caught scent of so few as he and ursus hunted.
merrick did not call in a howl; he was silent, sweeping over the new borders and striking for the first individual spotted, raking claws across the earth and hunting, hunting, hunting for the pale bitch who had taken his wife.
This is my art, and it is dangerous

There were so few left. Just her. War. Xynos.
They stood very little chance even now.

Nyra watched the Ursus wolves coming, and Akashingo not far behind in the distance, from the mouth of her den high up, where she could see.
Where the last two Saints were, she didn't know. Maybe at her flanks, maybe not.

At the head of the war party was Merrick.

Nyra prowled into sight in the higher-ups of the terrain, locking her eyes on the Bruin-King with rage-fueled hatred.
She couldn't kill him with several bodies at his flanks...

Assuming that they saw her, Nyra whispered her apologies to War and Xynos on the wind, and turned round, sprinting for her closest opportunity to escape into the peaks.

first and only post for Nyra! This is her exit from the Vale, Ebony feel free to PM me on discord if you'd like a solo thread where she and Merrick fight or anything <3

here she was.

she sees the woman far ahead, her pale fur stark against the grey-green cliffs of the vale. emotion immediately overcomes her. without waiting for a command—a move that surely will see her punished—she surges forward, expecting the Saint to do the same.

but she doesn't. instead, the woman turns and flees.

NNNYY-RA!! Avicus shrieks, her war cry reverberating across the valley, undulating and unhinged.

how dare she, the coward! slay her mother in cold blood, and then not stay to face the consequences. . .

Avicus continues on, pads beating hard against the nearly-frostbound earth, spittle slipping from her jaws and shivering out onto the wind she leaves in her wake

she will not leave here without tasting blood

Nyra's,

her own,

it doesn't matter.

blood for blood, and the bitch will bleed.
but see, amid the mimic rout,
a crawling shape intrude —
a blood-red thing that writhes from out
the scenic solitude

Arielle hung back but still lingered close to the bear king. The day for war had finally come, and it was time to see if she could serve the will of the bear even while injured—assuming she would suffer any. This was war, but it was clear as they crossed over the borders and saw the pale woman that there wouldn't be much of a fight. Merrick had saw to it that they had many on their side to help them take on the Saints, but it seemed the reckless pack had not done the same.

Instead of facing them and owning up to her actions, the woman took off in the other direction. Avicus sprinted after her, fury and determination on her face. Without thinking, Arielle jumped into action, chasing after the pair to offer the princess her support should she catch the woman who had killed the queen of Ursus. The spirit of the bear filled her heart with courage and perseverance, the anxiety that had been there before long gone as she sprinted across the valley.
