All Welcome
This is set for the 30th. With throughout the month of October being the hunts. I will tag thos invited and of course any new wolves or what have you can come as well. If you want a thread with any of my charies while they are here, please let me know and I will start threads. Enjoy everyone and have fun. You can assume that those that are too far away. He sent messengers too. If any of the wolves of moontide would like to have BTS threads or even make threads running messages I am fine with that. This thread here shows where your pack's den sites are located. You can make reference to them. Also one round calling your wolves is welcome. This will be my one and only post on this one.

The time had come. Rodyn had made sure everything was set in the village of Moontide. And he had set out as early as he could. As fall was official now and there were so many wolves. He had originally planned on waiting, but he could not do so. Not with the quickly changing weather. He had sent messengers and had sent howls and he hoped he could be heard.

He first lifted his head and called for @Kukutux and @Aiolos. Not sure if the latter would come, but knowing that the former would. And she would help him set the circles.

Next he called for the wolves of the spear @Sialuk and any she wished to bring to hunt on this day. He imagind she would enjoy her time among new faces and perhaps join in on the healing circles. Maybe even she would use her seer abilities if she wanted. He hoped she found some peace.

From the desert he called for the queen @Toula and then for her hebshet @Eset of Muat Rya. He was not certain who was going to come. But they had promised and thus he would make space for them. Had made space for them.

He lifted his nose for @Maia and @Kivaluk offering them a place to come and hunt. To join in as they did last year. His hope was that she would not be so worried and anxious this year and truly enjoy herself.

He had been wary for the youth of Kvarsheim @Ujurak and Sven. But he called out to them. Hoped they could make new alliances. New friends and just be children for a change. They had grown entirely too fast.

His unease had mounted as he had left La Muerte, but he had offered them a spot. Had warned Kukutux of his misgivings. But he called for @Reyna and @Nivis as well. SEnt messengers to bring them here. Hoped they would also enjoy the festivities.

He had not forgotten @Chakliux and who he would bring, but his people knew and had been given the chance to come in force or just a few. He hoped some of them would take him up on it.

The giant wolf @Mulherin he hoped he would come. For he had no doubt he would be a formidable hunter and his help they may get more Elk than planned. For they seemed to have rather large wolves in the rise. Even if they had once attacked him, they had not done so this time.

For teh queens of the sea. He had stopped himself with a personal message that he would leave that night if they wished to accompany him or make their own way. @Mireille and @Chacal @Val.

He had also run the few nights prior to tell one of his dearest friends @Towhee of the hunt and have her come along. As he had told her daughter first. But she was still invited and he truly hoped she or her wolves came.

The beasts of Swiftcurrent the wolves taht towered above him head and shoulders. @Akavir. He left them a message to arrive and he hoped they would. Truly.

Though his son @Panuk and @Callyope were not officially official yet. he gave the a short call too. Pleased that they could also come. His thoughts on Moongrove further. It was a beautiful place.

Finally a last call for the wolves that hunted bison @Nephele and her wolves. They would be good hunters to the pack and he looked forward to it.

He longed to invite the coyote @Sari, but knew she would possibly be not welcomed and though it hurt. He had promised her he would bring meat and furs to her people for another trade after the hunt.

Pie sat on a ledge as the calls rang through the wilderness, summoning one and all to gather for the hunting and feasting. She knew Grandma Kukutux and her kin had been preparing for this event for quite some time. Once, she had been incredibly excited to attend and mingle with all of her extended family.

Now, she couldn’t bear the thought of leaving the mountain. No matter how badly she wanted to be part of it, Treepie felt such dread hanging around her neck at the mere thought of setting foot outside her home. It weighed so much, it felt like some warped pillory, chaining her to the mountain.

It was with a heavy heart that Tiuttuk turned her back on Firefly Glen and all the festivities. She climbed toward Moonspear’s highest reaches, finding cold comfort in the thin, snowy air as trickling tears turned into icicles on her flews.

all tags are just suggestions <3 NPCs assumed to stay home unless specified, and anyone who doesnt want to join will be assumed to be back at mg too <3

their hunt had come.

a procession departed moonglow; she had arranged stacks of pelts for @Nantahala, @Lightfoot, @Yuralria, and @Akmaaksi to carry if they wished, and called @Callyope and @Panuk to travel with them if the pair so desired. @Aiolos; she would leave it to him if he wished to come now or when their celebrations had begun, whispering of her desire to have him there. vairë — if the young woman wished to come, then they would bear her so. otherwise moonmother knew that lómion and peregrine would tend her well.

to @Kyrell and @Centri she offered the task of coursing ahead, of finding the moonglow camp and greeting those who joined them. to @Ipiktok and @Salaksartok, a patrol of the glen entire, to keep safeguarded the camps as they grew large.

she had asked @Nasamiituuq to come with her, and began to set the circles, leaving many hides at each place for the sleeping and eating to come. they were glossy and shining in silken sheen, scraped to perfect softness.

in moonglow camp did kukutux set down her own satchels of dried meat and herbs, preparing for the injuries that might come with so many hunting as one.  in the trees around moonglow camp were hung her bits of dried greenery, their scent beckoning the other healers who might join her circle with their own wisdom.

her own eyes shone with an anticipation that for now, chased even the darkest touch from her spirit.

their feasting would be to the very spirits.

chakliux was filled with a rushing excitement to leave behind the salthold of moontide and travel far inland. he had told @Marina and tullik of his wish to go; he would leave that yes or no to both his wives. puffin, @Sirmiq, kilalurak, @Sea Hunter, and @Chagak, however; he expected their clamour to go, and told enthusiastically of what they might see.
@Simbelmyne too, chakliux wished to come along their trek, offering to assist her with the growing brood she and dutch had brought forth in the weald.
brave one and red leaf too were offered the choice to walk with he and his family, but chakliux soon found himself tangled with keeping five children headed in a single direction.
moonglow had come and rodyn worked. he sent his young seal hunters off to meet those they had not before seen and moved to set a perimeter with the youthful spine-hunters, calling out to them.
how he wished raiyuk too was here!

While it meant leaving the valley vulnerable, Ameline felt that if any rogue decided to settle there while the Bearclaw family attended the hunt, chasing them out would seem like a fine dessert after the meal they would have in the great pack gathering.

She enticed the girls with excited chatter about hunting large prey. As the eldest, @Athalia was promised a chance to course alongside the other adults, should she decide to attend, while @Athella, @Avalita, @Andrelia and @Adalynn would likely be spectators- but what an event to witness nonetheless!
Secretly, she hoped they might socialize a bit as well- the privacy of the valley had its benefits, but also meant that their girls knew few others their own age.

She moved with them, and once they were directed to their site she immediately set about familiarizing herself with the copse of hardwood trees, where the leaves had turned golden yellow. She scuffed her paws against the earth, turning up dirt that was dark brown and damp from ages of leaf litter. The temporary markings would establish their privacy, and make their attendance known to others.

Hungry eyes peered through the trunks, hoping to catch sight of others as they arrived. She was well aware that her former packmates arrived- only Mulherin had crossed her path since they had left, so she had no way to know how the others might be at a social event.

She was proud of her family- and moved about their campsite with an air of confidence. She kept herself tidy, held her head high, and made no effort to hide her affection for her daughters and her husband.

with no other remedy, reyna leads with nivis their royal fledglings into far off territory.

The little family of @Scoria and @Hashut and their sons @Emilio and @Diego are made to stay. souveneirs were promised for the little ones as recompensation. @Klara is stationed to keep guard of the little family and ward them while the heads were away. @Alder Ó Meara is brought along as assistance for @Paloma — mostly so they could divide the royal family's luggage between them.

theres an anxiety brewing in reyna. how long has it been since she's had to travel under the sun? she hopes her tall figure cuts a long shadow for her children. @Vincent, @Valeria, @Nymphora and @Candela accompany her closely. if the queen wasn't looking towards the horizon, she was checking that her children were not exhausted from the sun. it will be gentler as the seasons come. she promised them.

la muerte announces itself not with fanfare, but quiet bows, before quickly claiming a spot where the sun rarely touches them. with the flick of her wrist, reyna orders paloma to fan her off while she settles. red eyes also sneak several glimpses towards the other kingdoms. some much larger than her own, which gets just a slight huff from the reagal. she brushes it aside for now, and waits for when the hunt begins in silence.

she did not like to be so far from @Tautukpik, and looked for him even as grandmother gave her things to carry.

she was swept along by the thicket of many legs and did not have time to panic before once more they reached the glen.

a throng spread out before them; her eyes grew round with wonder and wide with fear. akmaaksi pressed herself close to grandmother as the pale woman talked with others.

their healing camp too, was approached by newcomers. it was all too much for the girl, who shrank further and further into the fringes of forest.

"stay close, @Lucette, @Shadess," chani warned, nudging the younger girl back toward @Sobeille. "stay wid us." she repeated the same for jadou, roux, jean-heron, cherie, elosie, and lafayette, counting: eight children! but they were half-grown and ready to run along the wet sands. astera had accompanied them as well, tall in her stature among she and miette as the yearlings who would become women in the new year.
@Pepper and @Phobos, she had called to them as she set off with all the children and her mother, wondering if they too would join the contingent. maman had stayed behind, her scarlet frame silhouetted against the blackpine forest as so many of them departed.
maman was tired.
val and @Chacal brought up the rear as they approached, having at last cut in from the coastline. chani saw first that there were several children, many of them actually. she exchanged a long look with sobeille, and then, as the glen unfolded, she began eagerly to search for any their age.
mulherin and pearl were sought most ardently, but she found herself watching some young men, unsure of where they came from.
did it matter? her cousin had taught her that it did not, and so she haughtily turned her attention back to her relatives, smirking playfully toward val, handing over the leadership of so many kids to her mother and the aventurine. sobeille! astera! she jerked her head toward them as she continued to trot ahead, seeking out their secluded camp with its private wellspring of bright freshwater.

ancelin kept the girls between he and ameline as they came close to the glen. he'd allowed their daughters not free rein, but to put distance between themselves and their parents as they traveled, so long as their elder sister stayed close.
but here he gathered them; the bearclaw royals were directed to their camp, and he employed their efforts. "go with your mother. we'll make this a home for now."
now he strutted in gleaming scars beside his mate, reaching to kiss her cheek or preen her impeccable ruff from time to time.
he was looking for the rise wolves, yes; his indigo eyes remained strangely cold no matter how smiling his mouth was or how many greeted him. searching, searching.

It warmed her heart to see her daughter take the lead, alongside her cousin. Chacal remained with Val at the rear, her spirits buoyed to see their children in a loose parade in front of them. The youngest ones were encouraged and reassured when necessary. They were old enough now that they would have to make the walk on their own- but Chacal would vouch for breaks when she noticed one or two beginning to flag.

She felt an absence lingered where her eldest children could have been- but she hoped, too, that she might see their faces among the many at the gathering. Not knowing who she might see was more worrying than exciting for her. She pined for her sister's presence, until she remembered who she'd been in the earliest days of her youth- Val's little shadow.

With her brother at her side, and her children in the vanguard, she could face this.

She realized soon that facing other adults wouldn't be their primary distraction, not when the young ones seemed so keen to mingle. She did not want to be the mother responsible for a Code Adam; she chuffed for the children to remain near for a small time, so they might at least become familiar with their camp's location so they could find their way back after socializing.
It can be assumed that if Chacal is speaking, she will be singing. Her speaking patterns will always have a melodic quality to them.

up from muat-riya they had come, imbued with direction and a bushel of trade goods. tavina and @Tiye had a long journey, fraught with the unforeseen peril of several rainstorms. time in the desert with its consistent weather had spoiled her, the sesh decided, ensuring that tiye was bundled tight in soft-cured antelope hide against any chills or illness.

@Meseba had been invited along, but tavina assured the man that truly, she did not need a guard. her face, she insisted, was stony enough to frighten any attacker. she left then the choice to him but did not long linger, as was her usual manner.

"careful. we are emissaries for muat-riya," tavina told her young charge as they neared the glen, filled even now with voices. many wolves streamed past them, and the sesh protectively stepped closer to the girl. a brisk word or there set them on course, first for the camp set aside to welcome their number, and secondly the healing circle.

performing a brief survey of the site with its neat stacks of cured peltfur, tavina nodded brusquely. "this will do. let us unpack, tiye. then we'll go and see that woman called kukutux." until akashingo arrived, their duties would be to assist the other physicians in preparation.

she smiled; "just for a bit. then you can go and meet the others."

Ajei carried some her offerings that she had pulled over the last few weeks. And a brace of fish. @Arrluk carried the rest upon the broad of his back.

Oh my. She whispered.

There were so many voices and bodies. Her ears immediately went to her skull. And she shrunk a little. But she continued on. Making sure to find her way to the healing circle and a small little greeting for Kukutux.

Alaric had helped Ajei hunt for some t hings. And he himself carried a goat fur and 3 otter furs. He had not offered the otters to the Red painted girl, because she didn't like to hunt them. He understood and respected it.

A jaunty toon was on his lips. He wouldn't spend his nights here. He was already determined that he would try adn help Pie make it to the hunt. Poor little thing riddled with anxiet. It bothered him that he couldn't help her as quickly as he would like. But these kind of things went slow.

He greeted @Kukutux with a warmth of spirit and grinned. As he settled near the healing circle.

Amalia walked with ajaunty step. Seeing her brother had given her a case of absolute joy. She called out to hima nd after a quick greeting. She went about her ways. She visited those she hadn't seen. SPoke with those she could. And settled near the hunters. Waiting.

referencing some IC things! <3

she caught up with amalia a moment later, urging @Crane, @Eagle, and @Cardinal to stay close at least until they found their camp. she had invited @Maia to come along, and @Kivaluk, though perhaps with @Eljay traveling to and fro, someone should stay.
chickadee, however, was desperate to get out and stretch her legs with a bit of travel. she spoke with those who came, corralled her brood, and eventually found the destination of the glen, already bursting in excitement to see the familiar faces of moonglow among so many she did not know!

It was not in her heart to want to take part- but it was her fondness for Chakliux to respond to his request, and while her pace was slow and her eyes weary, she journeyed alongside the others, bringing willing children with her.

She did not hope to see Dutch's face among the gathering. Even if he had left voluntarily, she knew he would not be the kind of man to abandon his wife and children and then show his face at a big gathering such as this. By now, the widow's clothes fit her, and suited her downtrodden nature. With her head slung low, she kept a dark hood pulled over her brow- so she might not catch the eyes of any looking to find a future wife.

She felt guilty and out of place to arrive empty-handed. She remained quiet as their pack arrived, fussing silently over the curls of Kitimat's ruff, and slicking back the raven fur between Seelie's ears to appear at least somewhat preoccupied while greetings were carried on.

She pretended not to see Kukutux for as long as she could. There were many children, many familiar faces for her to see- she would let them greet the gentle matriarch while the grieving Simbelmyne did her best to be invisible.

In a bundle of fur he had placed herbs for trade. Things to help nursing mothers, herbs to help sickness as winter months came and other such herbs for other ailments.

Etienne didn't know what to expect. But what he saw and heard, smacked him in the face. And the gilded man's ears hit his skull like a rock. He stared unsure. He kept @Caliste tight to his side. Speaking in a quiet murmur, reminding her to stay with him and no go far.

He looked around for any familiar faces spying his family from Sapphique including his mother @Chacal. HE called out a greeting to her. Once he was closer he would greet her with a hug and a kiss.

Golden eyes watched the going ons and he would breathe a sigh of relief when he found the healing camp. A little slower paced.

Reyson found himself on yet another trek across land and stone, but this time. It wasn't one for a war or a new home. It was for a good thing. @Meadow and @Lotus were following along, Rhonen provided a rear guard with his size. Not that they needed one. Reyson was just used to this.

At the sight of all the other wolves. The hair on the edges of his ruff lifted and he stared. There were so many. He saw a healers circle some wolves he knew. This was going to be a big hunt. A huge one truly.

He looked to meadow and then back out. I think we'll eat well for a while.
I will be building Reyson's personality largely in character. So his general personality and mannerisms may change as I learn more about him. I am fine with some plots with him as long as all parties are comfortable and know what is to be expected.

Cygnet was glad to leave the babies behind. She had to admit- even if only to herself- that they weren’t as ugly now that they looked a bit less like pug-nosed tardigrades…But they were growing and quickly becoming more mobile and thus, more of a problem. She wondered how soon they could be put to work, and the moment they were old enough, Cygnet would be keen to send the children on pointless missions to other packs, like her own personal spam email.

She attended the pack hunt expecting a bit of bloodshed. She was hungry to put her weight against another her age, should sparring be an activity that was within reason.

Keen to establish herself as a fearsome competitor, she’d smeared the blood of a weasel down each of her pale, rounded shoulders, and had wiped a red strip down the bridge of her muzzle. The blood dried, and made the fur stand out like quills; she liked it.

She let the tips of her canines show as the Swiftcurrent wolves arrived amid the others, casting a sharp glance toward any other yearling bold enough to make eye contact with her.

Sven was super charged. He hadn't ever been this far from home, but with the help of @Eivor and @Solveig and @Rusalka. They had managed to come to this gathering of other wolves. Steel grey eyes stared out over the gathering and he felt his tail wag of it's own accord. He made sure to greet the wolves of Bearclaw and even of Swiftcurrent. He had long ago put aside the beef between his family and @Akavir's but he didn't know if the giant of the creek had done the same. HE wondered briefly how big the other wolves were of the creek, because if they were bigger holy goodness.

He went from spot to spot greeting those that he could. Passing his family's name along. Making sure to make space for @Ujurak at every turn. Because without his brother he was lost.
Because he was raised speaking both Icelandic and English. He has a slight accent when he speaks English

PPing kids with Marina's posts!
Simbelmyne's reticence held all of Marina's focus; the rest of the gathering passed her by, though she absentmindedly herded @Chagak, Puffin, and @Kilalurak along. Sirmiq and Sea Hunter orbited their father as they always did, and Marina was content to allow it. There was so much else to occupy her attention!

And none of it was spared for the many strangers just yet, though she glimpsed them from the corners of her vision. Instead she drew close to Simbelmyne, offering a soft touch to her shoulder. The dark-furred girl at her heels was quick to greet her merrily, darting between the women's feet and giggling when she nearly collided with their legs. Marina only smiled at Seelie's antics.

I brought skins for our beds, and herbs to calm the children - and ourselves, She murmured to Simbelmyne, smile turning sympathetic with the words. Marina felt deeply tired today, as she often was. This time spent inland would be good for her, though it hurt her heart to dread returning to Moontide. But she resented this: the weakness, the unspoken knowledge that hung in the lodge. Marina would need help. She always needed help.

pretty men. pretty women.

eivor was pleased when they had come to the glen at last. she had spent their journey making many jokes, but now fell silent in admiration at such a large gathering.

insular as the drengr tended to be, she could not deny that there might be many advantages for the future here.

when kvarsheim's camp was approached, she made her temporary goodbyes and set off to inspect the higher points of their hunting-settlement, ever-cognizant that conflicts had a way of occurring at inopportune times.

The travel had been arduous—but the companionship among them had been welcome. Akavir had carried as much as of the goods they had brought as he could handle—some things in which to trade and offer—other things in which to offer the hosts of the great hunt. In truth, politics had never been a strong suit for the Mayfair, who had taken course from Constantine in his younger years—pack was pack, family was family, and simply stick with what one knew, if one could.

They had waited for the turn of the leaves—they had begun their travel at best estimation, and when Rodyn’s beckoning howl summoned them forward, Akavir felt a certain sense of relief the timing had been appropriate. If he sought to find others right now, he did not show it—whether it was the flash of a dark coywolf, or the silver of his heart—instead, his attention remained on his pack mates. Mae was kept close to him—he worried for her—and when @Cygnet had painted herself with blood, he had huffed a bemused sigh, but let her continue her challenge.

They were directed to a camp—a place for themselves, and he worked to settle his daughter there now, a crooked grin pressing to his muzzle. “Thought we had enough wolves in the valley to piss off with our presence before,” he murmured to @Mae. “Imagine the stretch we have now.”

@Sven had greeted them earlier—a youth he wasn’t familiar with. But he had made a promise to seek the boy out later, after being settled—his interest piqued.

A feather lay intricately entwined within the fur from behind her ear. A ridiculous task she had set upon @Seal—but one that made her feel empowered and beautiful. Glowing, she looked up to her parents—bright eyes tracing Reyson’s firm jawline and frown while holding back a small giggle.

She slowed her pace, giving a gentle nudge to @Rhonen who had taken the rear of their traveling parade—“What do you think? Want to settle first, or should we sneak away and explore?”

The excited thrum of his own heart accompanied Kyrell once the day began. Early. Kukutux instructed him to accompany Centri to the camp for preparations. The woodsman's smile was bright as the glen began to crawl with wolves. His voice would be offered to any lost looking soul and a smile would flash to any healer that set up shop at the Moonglow camp.

Kyrell made a point to greet the moonwoman and Moonglow's representatives on arrival. His assistance would be offered to take any burdensome packs from the backs of his packmates and storing their wares as needed.

What an event this would be!
